Dozens of demonstrators dashed into the Loop building housing President Barack Obama's campaign headquarters this morning, slipping past security guards and running up escalators as they kicked off what they called a "Week Without Capitalism."
Eight protesters were led out in handcuffs about half an hour later after they refused to clear the lobby. They were cheered by other demonstrators who began dancing and singing folk and gospel songs.

...or body bags.........
I bet that they even had some guy with a bullhorn.
Evidently no one on this thread knows that this demonstration was the work of a Catholic group protesting Obama’s crony capitalism and phony peace ‘n’ justice image.
These White Rose Catholics are the near future of Living As Catholic in America, to the extent that will be possible at all. Those on this thread who scorn and insult them fail to appreciate they’re doing the dirty work that polite suburban Republicans can’t or won’t undertake: disruptive non-violence.
I am sure I may have some differences with these people on certain prudential matters. I dont care. God bless them. May their tribe increase.
The term “Negro Spirituals” is no longer PC, so “Gospel Songs” is all the press could think of. You know, songs that have nothing to do with the Gospel, i.e. the Good News of Jesus Christ, but as mentioned already, were probably “Kumbaya”, or “Ode to Gaia” or “Abraham, Martin & John”?
I dare them to continue their “Week (or maybe is that weak?) without capitalism” without buying any food or beverage (including water)...
