SANFORD, Fla. —
WFTV has learned charges against George Zimmerman could be getting more serious.
State prosecutors said Zimmerman, a neighborhood watchman, profiled and stalked 17-year-old Trayvon Martin before killing him, so the FBI is now looking into charging him with a hate crime.
Zimmerman admitted to killing Martin in February during a confrontation. However, he claims the shooting was in self-defense. He's facing a second-degree murder charge, which carries a maximum possible sentence of life in prison without the possibility of parole.
In the meantime, FBI investigators are actively questioning witnesses in the retreat at the Twin Lakes neighborhood, seeking evidence for a possible federal hate crime charge.
Martin was unarmed when he was shot to death, police said, and some accuse Zimmerman of targeting the teenager solely because of the color of his skin.
WFTV legal analyst Bill Sheaffer said federal prosecutors would have to prove the hate crime to charge Zimmerman, though.

I bet we don’t know the half of it.. They have spent decades infiltrating our government, educational system, entertainment, news media, churches.. They have basically taken over our infrastructure.. Now the Socialists, Commies and Marxists are colluding radical Islam.

The GOP needs to be taught a lesson by having Obama win?
Not that I wish to curtail references to the Thought Police, because they are a real menace and ever-growing. But it’s at least partly misguided to think that what seperates hate “crimes” is that they’re an intrusion into people’s heads. They are an undue intrusion, but that’s not what makes them special.
For the law has long felt free to jump inside your mind when deciding if and for how long to lock you up, be it to divine intent, to determine whether you’re mentally fit to stand trial, etc. But one thing they’ve never done is criminalized motive. Despite what tv and movies say, and how often it is gabbed about in actual courtrooms, motive is neither here nor there. At best it is a story you tell to the jury, to make them understand better than isolated pieces of evidence can.
But as they probable teach you the first day of law school, or if they don’t they should, it’s the easiest thing in the world to blow up the prosecution’s motive argument. Just demonstrate that people other than the defendant had motives. Which will be true of everyone, because theoretically everyone has a motive to kill everyone they know, and for every murder victim there are maybe a hundred people with the motive to have done it. Which is why, among other things, never in the history of Anglo-American, to say nothing of any other variety, jurisprudence has motive been an element of crime.
Not until, that is, our egalitarian, classless society decided to make special classes out of non-heterosexual white males. This they did for revenge, long, long after Whitey’s monopoly on power ended, and despite the much larger problem of non-white-on-non-white crime.
Thats a Thought Crime & a Hate Crime now...

If it was an elderly black man, or a black woman of any age, walking through the Zimmerman’s community there most likely would not have been any confrontation at all.
One of the pundits I follow opined the other day that the Republicans should immediately adopt the catch phrase, “that’s nice, now what about the economy”, and use it as a response to every media question about one of O’s misdirect. Not a bad idea.
If the FBI charges Zimmerman, Obama will get less than 40% of the vote. This was only self-defense. If the FBI gets involved in this, people will see clearly whatn is going on and Obama is done.
Interesting. I’ve read that there were more than a few burglaries, etc in the neighborhood prior to this event with black males found to be the perps. So, he’s on patrol and a black male is hanging around, etc. How can that possibly be a hate crime, given the criminal history in the neighborhood?
They know they cannot prove Zim was motivated by hatred. I reckon they were hearing thru rear channels (if you’ll excuse my French) that the gay prez stuff wasn’t blowing over (again, sorry) too well and they’d better get their constituency excited abt backing them again. This might be primarily for show, and a hail marry for some good old fashion social engineering change— marxist style. Crisis not wasted and all that.

I thought you had to be white to be charged with a hate crime, you mean to tell me that it applies to white Hispanics as well?!!
Do you think Zimmerman will be charged by the feds before his state trial is finished?
