Not true. OLD mobile homes are not properly insulated. Mine has 2X6 walls with R21, floors with R30 and ceilings with R49. Except for sitting on a metal frame (that can be removed. mine is foundation ready) this house is built just like a regular brick and mortar house.

I think it’s 11 cents a kilowatt hour.

That’s great ! The last one I looked at in CA they built with 2x3 walls and insulation was about R10. Maybe new ones in CA are better than that too.

If your electric is only 11 cents, then I’m envious. In CA, we have tiered pricing — the more you use the higher the rate — and my annual average is about 18 cents per kwh.
