“He should be going after the Wright/Obama connection in a forthright, unequivocal and no-holds-barred manner. Wright’s anti-Americanism makes him a legitimate target.”

But Obama already turned away SUCCESSFULLY from Wright.

Obama is personally well liked.

For Romney to get personal with a well liked person, over a settled topic, is politically stupid.

We got people here saying they won’t vote for Romney, but full of advice for how to win elections.

I know... Believe me, I know...

Last great act of defiance and all that. Go down with the sinking ship, etc., etc., etc...

Mitt is not my favored candidate. He was pretty much last on my list. I don't like him, I will probably NEVER like him, and if I had the chance, I would probably kick him in the nuts just for general principles. BUT despite his flaws, he's still infinitely preferable to another four years of Obama.

So, yes, I am going to campaign for Mitt. Yes, I am going to support him in every way I can. Yes, I am going to follow his campaign and comment on issues and tactics, most especially on how they impact Conservatives and Independents because those two groups are going to determine whether there will BE a United States of America in another four years time.

This election is IT. If we lose this time around, if Obama has a chance to stuff the Supreme Court with another two or three Liberal judges, if he is allowed to continue trampling the Constitution, there will be no way we can return to the Republic of our Founders save war.

Time to wake up and smell the coffee, Postem or Sanka.

Now, on Wright, I tend to disagree. I also disagree that he is well-liked. He was in 2008, but I think a lot of Americans have seen through his BS by now. He's not nearly as popular as he used to be and a lot of his support is mere lip service. We shall see.

Agreed that at first glance, it does seem awfully ironic.

But let’s look at it this way:

If you really hate Romney so much that you actually want Big Ø to win — which seems to describe a handful of FReepers — then presumably you want to give Romney bad advice in order to help him lose!

Therefore, I gotta think it’s perfectly understandable that somebody with “Romney Derangement Syndrome” would say Romney should personally hammer away like crazy on the Rev. Wright connection.
