Trayvon Martin’s death was ‘ultimately avoidable’: Florida police report

Trayvon Martin's death was “avoidable.”

That’s the conclusion of a new police report on the unarmed teen’s killing at the hands of George Zimmerman in Sanford, Fla.

"The encounter between George Zimmerman and Trayvon Martin was ultimately avoidable by Zimmerman, if Zimmerman had remained in his vehicle and awaited the arrival of law enforcement, or conversely, if he had identified himself to Martin as a concerned citizen and initiated dialog in an effort to dispel each party's concern," the document by Sanford, Fla. Police said.

In the end, don’t all police spout that liberal line?

Society has decided people should be trained to take no action on their own to stop crime, except totally passive defensive, such as “trimming your bushes” and “locking your doors”.

The reason all those people were murdered in 9/11 is because the passengers of the planes, except for United 93, put that liberal meme into action.

They want us all passive sheep, dependent on the state.

I know it’s a cliche, but “better tried by 12 than carried by 6.”

Sorry, I misread this the first time. At quick glance I thought the "6" was referring to bullets, as in better to be alive and tried than dead in the ground.

Even Michael Moore’s huge girth is “ultimately avoidable” if he just didn’t eat so much. Automobile accidents are “ultimately avoidable” if we just walked everywhere, of course there were far more fatalities per million miles traveled when people rode on horses.

Trayvon Martin’s shooting was ultimately avoidable if black youths stop their aggressive behavior towards white people.

How the **** can any of them possibly know that Zimmerman identifying himself would have changed anything at all?

They can't know, of course, which is readily apparent to any mildly intelligent person actually using their brain. But, if your task/agenda is to portray Zimmerman as a racist and murderer, this kind of rhetorical lie is all you have to work with, but it only works on dumb people.

What's so hard to understand here...

GZ was unaware that protecting your homes family and property from thugs and criminals is not in alignment with the political alinksy tactics...

So he crossed the invisible line...he will pay the price so the powers that be can tear down this country to keep the black gravy train rolling

I predict he will be convicted and when he appeals he will win

I agree, but death is not avoidable.

“Everyone” staying at home would likely create more new victims (those shot while breaking into occupied dwellings), so it’s not really a true panacea.

So per "new police report" non Negroes do not have the right to peaceable assembly.

Negroes have the right to assault anyone for any reason.

FUBO!

It was a dispatcher who told him he did not need to follow Trayvon and George said he had lost him and was returning to his car. It seem that then Trayvon doubled back and attacked George.

The cops say Z should have talked to M. But...had he done that and M attacked him, he would have been accused of confronting M with fighting words. Z handled it correctly in keeping his distance and just trying to see where M went for the police.

In hindsight, it would have been better for Z not to have followed him for location information. But it was not an unreasonable thing to do either. If any one of us could repeat events in our lives with the benefit of hind sight, that would be ideal. Also, remember the cops were probably angry at Z because he stood up against them when they beat a homeless man.

If ONLY Saint Skittles hadn't attacked George, he would probably be alive today to tweet on his "no limit n-word" account.

Saint Skittles LOL!

Pure conjecture on the part of the police. Since when are police “jurors”.

Obviously...... the Sanford police were ordered to come up with this PC garbage. Which is absurd given the evidence that comes out every day showing lil Treyvon to be a stoned (on marijuana) thug wanabee who was beating up on the wrong white dude. Meaning a white dude who was armed same as Bernard Goetz was 30 years ago+

..if he had identified himself to Martin as a concerned citizen and initiated dialog in an effort to dispel each party's concern...

GZ: "Excuse me, you, the young man with the Skittles..."
TM: "Yeah?"
GZ: "I am a concerned citizen. I wish to initiate a dialogue in an effort to dispel our concerns.."

"ultimately avoidable"

Like totally cosmic, man.

"...if he had identified himself to Martin as a concerned citizen and initiated dialog in an effort to dispel each party's concern..."

This sounds like it was written by a social worker.
