And to think there are people who are prepared to put up with four more years of Mr. Obama and Eric Holder. If this is the sort of thing they'll do while worried about re-election, what will they do when they have no such worries?

The liberal network and print media is the single worst threat to liberty in this country today.

Hell yes, even as Obama said, if he had a son, he’d look like Martin.

On another note Jennifer Rubin supporter of the GOPe extraordinaire. Enemy of the Tea Party.

The whole Zimmerman case is pure politics and the facts be damned for the political outcome.

Of course, the Media mob has yet to be right about a single thing. Odd how no matter how incompetent and politically corrupt they prove themselves to be, most Americans still believe their every word

George created a martyr for black liberation and social equality, and now he has to pay for it, along with the rest of us.

I am quite surprised that the judge hasn’t thrown out this case for lack of evidence. But they may not have gotten to that point in the proceedings as of yet..................

First, the headline is a ... duhhh.

Also, prosecutors are not your friend. It’s a game to them, in this case both a career and political game to get the “best” result they can.

It’s not a search for the truth. Civil rights types usually realize that from the defendant’s perspective, if they hadn’t decided to turn this into a show trial for the proposition: “whites hunt down and murder blacks for no apparent reason”.

Even IF this had been a racist murder, it would not have meant America is a horrible racist country. In fact, there are some real racist killings, so using Z for their agenda is even more reprehensible.

I guess we’ll find out when all of the bozos on the “jury” show up wearing hoodies, eating “Skillets” and drinking Arizona Watermelon Cocktail.

Something wrong with Angela Corey. Maybe someone should look at her activities for the last few years and her affiliations.

Mainstream Media trying to back in off the ledge.

It has suddenly occurred to them that race riots are NOT helpful to Democrats who are running for re-election.

iirc Corey decided to prosecute after she had a phone call with an activist who was openly calling for a lynching and riot.

I would like to know what that conversation was!

But...I’ll speculate that Corey thought she could avoid a mess of a riot. She probably did not think to recall that it was exactly “overcharging” that led to the LA Rodney King riots.

Fox is still in lynch-Zimmerman mode. This afternoon they had Mark Fuhrmann and Michael Baden in as "experts," both trying to interpret the new information in the way least helpful to Zimmerman. Fuhrmann didn't seem to be very familiar with the details. Dr. Baden tried to claim there was no evidence of recent marijuana use by Trayvon and criticized the police for not testing Zimmerman for drugs.

I'd hate to see how the hard-left channels are covering it.

I think Angela Corey did the right thing, both politically and legally. She knew she had potential riots on her hands. So she bought time, charging Zimmerman with something upon which she knew there was no possibility of getting a conviction. Time allowed a situation that was potentially disastrous for innocents to blow over, with the hucksters avoiding the embarrassment of the facts as they slowly leaked out. The black community will calm down as they find out that their angel was a doped out kid drifting into being a borderline thug. Hopefully, Zimmerman will end up with a life without fear, somewhere else.

Every year my sophomore English classes read “The Crucible,” and every year those students learn about mass hysteria. The good news is that every student understands how the elements of mass hysteria can be seen in the attitudes and opinions of many people about the shooting of Trayvon Martin. In fact, it’s such a good example of mass hysteria I might use the incident for many years to follow, as long as there’s some interest in the case.

There’s other good news here. I think this is the end of the road for those screaming “racism” every time something unseemly or uncomfortable occurs to someone who is black. A trial against George Zimmerman will reveal a nice guy trying to help his neighbors and a thug kid high on dope swept up by gangster culture and antiwhite racism. A lot of people are going to have that “hey, wait a minute” moment as the trial progresses, and those using the killing to promote their bigoted race-baiting agenda will be hung out to dry.

And there’s even more good news. The peace made after the civil rights battles had two elements. First, whites were always to act ashamed. Second, blacks were absolved of responsibility for their situation. This incident is dissolving that agreement, and so much the better. Accusing a individuals of ugly motives because of something that their ancestors did is the essence of racism and bigotry. There have been sporadic voices calling for black responsibility, and hopefully this incident will promote more of that talk. I don’t know about you, but I’m sick to death of blacks (and some other “minorities”) walking around with a giant chip on their shoulders for mostly imagined slights against themselves and their race. Bull Conner died a long time ago; stop whining about it.

So I don’t think it is going to turn out like the left planned it, but, then again, top-down thinking often falls victim to unexpected circumstances.
