Yup. I've said this all along.
Because, really, would a majority of his constituents be swayed by the argument: "He's not technically eligible, as he was born in Kenya, emigrated to Hawaii days later to receive a "Certificate of Live Birth" which is not the same as a Birth Certificate...but that's a whole other argument, then possibly renounced his citizenship when he was adopted by an Indonesian father, but then later he came BACK to Hawaii, and...."
Geez, I'm interested in the issue, and even I'd glaze over with all of the technical details. Imagine what a 95-IQ-voter who just wants to pull the lever for a Dem, or "The black Guy" or whatever, would have for a reaction.
Nope, I think that it's something ridiculously simple and something that would cost him a major voting block. Most likely his father isn't who he says it is...I've heard speculation on FR that his father is Cuban. Which based on his looks, makes sense to me.
