Our primary here in Calif is June 5th - makes me angry.
Why bother, except for the down-ticket.
Reminds me of what it feels like when the east coast announces the winner in a national election, and many of us on the west coast haven’t voted yet.
I DEMAND AN EARLIER PRIMARY DATE HERE IN THE WEST. GET IT DONE!
Candidates running down-ticket should be only too happy to have an earlier primary - since some voters will sit this one out.
I feel the same way and I live in Texas. Which is absurd in my opinion when considering how many potential voters we have.

Half of our Knights of Columbus chapter and council in CA will be at the primary, specifically on that date. I won’t go as our chapter elections, throughout the state and I think the nation, falls on the same date.
