Volusia County School officials stand by a Deltona High School nurse's decision to refuse a student his inhaler during an asthma attack, citing a lack of a parent's signature on a medical release form.
"It's like something out of a horror film. The person just sits there and watches you die," said Michael Rudi, 17. "She sat there, looked at me and she did nothing."
He said the school dean found his inhaler during a search of his locker last Friday. The inhaler was still in its original packaging -- complete with his name and directions for its use; however, the school took it away because his mother hadn't signed the proper form for him to have it.

Let’s stick with the context of the thread, OK? In Texas schools, a school nurse is a NURSE. She is tasked with nursing duties, not teaching anything.
I've known plenty of nurses..that are educators.
Indeed. This nurse educated us all about an important lesson in government run healthcare and schools.
It’s now near the end of the school year. The nurse and others had probably been trying all year to get the student to submit the forms. Could have been other issues already with this student.
I'd love to be on your jury. Not only would you be acquitted, you'd get an apology, a medal, and cash compensation for your time...

reread the article. The school nurse was a total and nearly lethal incompetent in at least three different ways. Read the article! She lacked humanity and common sense plus refused to call 911. That could have been your child victimized by an unfeeling moron

If the Good Samaritan broke a divine commandment, then yes, he committed sin, by definition. The real question is if the original commandment that he broke was divine or not. To me, it’s clear - it was not. Abstaining from physical activity periodically as a religious obligation is meaningless, empty, counterproductive, harmful and irrational, and too silly to be traceable to a divine entity.
There was no “spirit” to that commandment which could have redeemed it as divine. The commandment to love one another is a commandment totally independent of the former commandment.
