Eduardo Alementa Torres [illegal alien]: Arrested for 6th DUI in Massachusetts
Examiner ^ | May 19, 2012 | Dave Gibson

On Thursday, Milford police arrested Tigoberto Orellano-Alonso, 25, after he was witnessed driving erratically on South Bow Street. The Mexican national was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol as well as driving without a license.
.
.
According to a police report, Orellano-Alonso led the arresting officer on a short chase and failed to fully cooperate when stopped. An open container of alcohol was also observed inside the vehicle.
.
.
In light of several recent incidents, it would seem that Massachusetts’ roads have become very dangerous
.
.
Denice was hit and dragged close to a quarter mile by the pickup truck Dutan-Guaman was driving, according to Milford Police Chief Thomas O'Loughlin.

Numerous witnesses said they tried to stop Dutan-Guaman as he continued to drag the young man through the streets of Milford.
.
.
Milford police Sgt. Jim Heron said that after Dutan-Guaman turned on to Bancroft, from West Street, he drove across someone’s lawn where he ran over Denice again, before fleeing the scene off.

Dutan-Guaman who is in the country illegally from Ecuador has been charged with motor vehicle homicide, DUI, negligent operation, leaving the scene of personal injury and death, possession of open container of alcohol in vehicle, failure to stop for police, driving without a license, failure to stop or yield, resisting arrest and wanton or reckless conduct creating risk to a child.

He recently pleaded not guilty.

But, but, but they’re just here trying to improve their lives! How’s that working out?

This is too obvious, but how the hell does an illegal have five DUIs and still live on American soil? I swear we are going to have to handle this ourselves one day.

"Ship him back in a body bag."

I'll second that, as long as it's a REALLY REALLY CHEAP bag. F#ck all these low-life scumbags, we have enough of those already.

in montgomery county texas, brett ligon and a far right jury would easily give him life.

While the situation is ‘less than optimal’ multiple DUIs in MA is pretty much par for the course. A number of years ago some drunk from MA killed a couple in NH while DUIing. Turns out he had 15 DUIs on his record w/o ever a day in jail or loss of license. I think NH is nearly as bad. This problem is all about judges who should have long ago been retired.

These guys have to kill someone before the government take decisive action.

And even then the action they take isn't decisive enough.

I guess we citizens really don't matter that much.

According to the statistics in that document illegals constitute nearly 10% of the drunk drivers detained in a year.

Its safe to assume then that nearly 10% of the 11,000 people killed by drunk drivers annually were killed by drunk illegals.

Won't hear that when the "American Dream Act' comes up for a vote.

There is also this problem noted:

Most problematic, as this committee is aware, within the last year, the White House has directed ICE to implement policies that exclude all but the most egregious offenders from immigration law enforcement, under a scheme it euphemistically describes as “prosecutorial discretion,” but in practice is more like an amnesty, even for some illegal aliens charged with crimes.

As a result, from what I hear from local law enforcement officers in different parts of the country who are familiar with these cases, a significant number of removable aliens who have been charged with crimes who formerly would have been detained while in proceedings, are now being released. It is certain that some unknowable number of illegal alien drunk driving offenders are benefiting from these lax policies. Typically, drunk driving is not a felony charge unless the offender has prior offenses, sometimes multiple prior offenses.

Can you make that "one day" today? Take out a lawsuit against those people who release him back into the general population to repeat his offences. They are complicit in his offences.

Here in CA the brainstems in Sacto voted to restrict law enforcement from impounding the cars of those driving without licenses, ie illegal aliens.

When will the masses wake up and realize the State is their greatest threat, not only to their liberties, but to their safety as well?

Nov 08, 2011 ..
MILFORD — Religious leaders and advocates for immigrant rights yesterday condemned what they say is harassment of Milford immigrants following the August death of a Milford man who police say was killed by an illegal immigrant driving drunk.

“People in Milford are afraid to go to the hospital. They are afraid to call 911,” said Filipe C. Teixeira, a bishop with the Catholic Church of the Americas diocese in Brockton. “We have created a state of fear.”

Teixeira was among eight speakers at a Boston rally organized by the Massachusetts Immigrants and Refugee Advocacy Coalition. The speakers took aim at what they say is growing hostility toward immigrants - from name-calling on the streets of Milford to legislation proposed by Rep. John Fernandes, D-Milford, that would place greater restraints on illegal immigrants registering cars, applying for in-state college tuition, living in public housing and looking for jobs.

“This bill was filed and explicitly tied to the recent drunk driving accident in Milford,” said Shannon Erwin, state policy director for the immigration coalition. “However, it has 24 broad-ranging amendments, most of which have nothing to do with crime but would make immigrants’ lives more difficult.”

On Aug. 20, Matthew Denice, 23, was struck while riding his motorcycle in Milford and dragged nearly a quarter-mile by a pickup truck driven by Nicolas Guaman, a 34-year-old illegal immigrant from Ecuador, authorities have said. Police say Guaman was drunk at the time of the accident, and he has been indicted on several charges, including second-degree murder.

Yesterday’s event was sponsored by the Greater Boston Interfaith Organization, American Civil Liberties Union of Massachusetts and Amnesty International.

Diego Low, director of the MetroWest Immigrant Work Center, said Milford has long been home to anti-immigration sentiment.

“Milford has been a place of tension for the Ecuadorian community for a number of years,” Low said. “The politics of Milford are anti-immigration.”

Milford Selectman Brian Murray, who said immigrants have not been targeted in Milford, said it is dangerous for MIRA to give unverified claims of harassment as fact.

“I have no personal knowledge of any tension with any ethnic group in Milford. My office is right on Main Street, and I have not seen any problems,” Murray said in an interview yesterday.

Organizers of the Boston event offered seven anecdotes of harassment in Milford, including allegations of immigrants being verbally harassed and physically assaulted by young people. Organizers used aliases to protect who they said are immigrants frightened of sharing their identities.

Other incidents are hard to validate because many immigrants are scared of coming forward for fear of being deported, organizers said.
Speakers also condemned Secure Communities, a federal program that allows for better sharing of information between law enforcement agencies about illegal immigrants who have been charged with crimes.
“The violence we condone and create by Secure Communities is not the answer,” said the Rev. Wendy von Zirpolo, Minister of Unitarian Universalist Church of Marblehead. “Hate-based legislation creates violence.”
Fernandes said his bill, called “An Act to Enhance Community Safety,” was aimed at solving problems such as people working without documentation or driving without licenses.
“I don’t think it’s about anti-immigration,” Fernandes said in a phone interview. “It’s not about anti-anything. It’s about raising the awareness relative to the problems in our community.”
The bill was referred to the Joint Committee of the Judiciary on Monday. Fernandes said he is hopeful the bill will go to hearing before the Legislature adjourns for the year on Nov. 16.
Fernandes praised the Milford Police Department’s efforts to reach out to the immigrant community and questioned the legitimacy of any anecdotal claims of harassment.
“That is one of the most outrageous allegations to make casually if they can’t report it to police,” Fernandes said.

Change this up to read “People in Milford are afraid to drive on their own streets. Check out in the U.K. Drunk illegal immigrant kills couple after sneaking back into country
“He chose to come to this country illegally, he chose to drink all night and get behind the wheel of his car, he chose to drive erratically and at extremely high speed, weaving in and out of traffic, he chose to flee the scene of this horrific incident and denied being the driver and refused to be tested for alcohol.

“Given those circumstances, we think the only thing he is sorry about is that he was caught.”

Judge Geoffrey Marson QC said he hoped the relevant authorities would investigate how Mereohra was able to obtain an NI number and work permit despite twice entering the country illegally.

“The Mexican National...’ ‘...in the country illegally from Ecuador...’ must have a really bad travel agent or a lazy journalist writing about him.
