communist countries are always battered by “drought” because their own policies make it that way. North Korea has no private sector whatsoever, meaning there is no buffer. When “drought” hit in the mid-90’s there was not even a black market and millions literally starved to death.

After that one, the people learned not to trust the government. Those who trusted the government to provide for them are the ones who died off first.

Thing with North Korea is one loyalty, two, most of their sons and daughters are in army. One day it will explode, and then is another chapter……
