Sad part of this story is this, even if Sheriff Joe’s boys get tons of information, unless or until the lame-stream media, or the panty waists in D.C. in the U.S. House, do anything about it, the story will die a fast death.

The initial reports from the Air Force at Roswell said they found the wreckage of a flying craft. Subsequent reports changed that to a weather balloon and maintained that as the story. How fast a death did it die?

From very early on he felt this Hawaiian support after he invested in property on the windward
side of O’ahu – first in Kahalu’u, then in Hau’ula where the family remained for seven years with the
addition of several children. Davis seemed to feel welcome in Hau’ula – and only moved to the leeward
Kalihi Valley in 1956 for its convenience and proximity to hospitals, schools, and work in Honolulu.

The article (a fawning one at that) says he lived in Kalihi. Kalihi is quite a ways from where the Dunhams lived. Doesnt’ say whether he lived in lower Kalihi or Kalihi Uka.

Searching through the FBI link here is one reference to FMD’s residence in 1960 (can’t copy, will type it out):

“Confidential informant [ ] of known reliability has advised that FRANK MARSHALL DAVIS continues to reside in the Kapapa district of Windward Oahu and... “

I think “Kapapa” is a misspelling as I’ve never heard of that name although it could be a Hawaiian word; maybe it is Kapaluu. But the FBI document does say “Windward” which is not Honolulu.

A bit farther down in the FBI document:

“On September 5th, 1963, reported that DAVIS still resides at 2994 Kalihi St. with his wife and four children.”

So it looks as though Davis lived on the Windward side, out in the country, and apparently at some point after 1960 moved to Kalihi, which is quite a way from downtown Honolulu.

He is shown at 2994 Kahili Street on September, 16, 1957.

And two days later, on September 18, he’s shown at 47-388 Kam Hwy, Kahaluu Oahu.

I can’t see where that tells you he was living in 1960, can you?

It's getting so that I really don't care any more. That FBI stuff always looks like it was written by a six year old. The last two pages show addresses from a report dated September 1957.

How that can relate to 1963 beats me. He was also living at the YMCA for a time...

I spent last night trying to find out more about Helen Canfield Davis and ended up at TD’s where some gals into geneaology were also researching. Apparently she was Helen Canfield Peck and her family disowned her when she married Davis. She was a card carrying member of the Communist Party and met Davis at the Abraham Lincoln School in Chicago (which apparently was a front for the Communist Party) Digging further I found that they lived 30 miles from Honolulu and he drove in daily, until the divorce in 1970 when he re-located to Waikiki which is detailed in a post above. I still have been unable to find out birth dates for his children(aside from Mark b.1950) although I did manage to find out their names now. The other children are: Beth Charlton, Lynn M. Smith,Jeanne M. Hyde, and Jill M. Prive found in the dedication to the autobiography of Davis. I’ll keep digging to see what I can find, but was struck by the story of when Davis initially met Jr in fall of 1970. Reading that story I was left with the impression that Davis and Jr had never met before. See here:

I just spotted the passport application you posted, that one has always fascinated me, she states a previous marriage date which is five days before the ‘divorce’ from the kenyan is granted on March 20, 1964, she’s 5’ and a half inch in height as against 5’5” on another application, it really makes me wonder...just who is this S Ann Dunham?

Might she be the Ann S Obama shown in the Polk directory? Or is she the Ann S Dunham the kenyan claims is his wife, after he has crossed out a name that’s now a mystery? He did that 27 days after the birth of zero iirc...but he didn’t include the name of his ‘son’. Either of them.

I would be interested in knowing what exactly were the restrictions for newborns on British Airways back in 1961. Recent restrictions just require a doctor’s written permission for air flight. Some airlines restrict newborns for a period of eight days from birth.

I would also like someone to be successful in finding passenger lists for the month of August, 1961. I think airlines keep these passenger lists forever and getting them should be possible.

Another area of investigation would be Washington State’s Department of Health and Human Services. If Stanley Ann applied for state assistance while she was in Seattle, she might have needed birth certificates for her and Baby Obama. It would be interesting to find out what Washington State has on file.

I once had a pilot PM me about this . I really can’t remember what he said. It seems like he said that restrictions were different back then so it would have been possible for the baby to fly..but that might not be what he said.

On page 66 of the pdf is a Oct 1957 reference and page 67 a Sept 1957 reference and page 62 and more after that a November 1957 reference.

This info is incorrect as evidenced by the Frank Marshall FBI files. It is unclear to me when Cliff Kincaid got the files on Frank Marshall David but it might have been after 2008. Or that poster didn’t find them posted on the internet.

The file that I posted in that post you are replying to has an FBI file that CLEARLY states Sept 5th 1963 FMD was in Honolulu.
