I used to clean before the wife got home from trips until I noticed that she swept, vacuumed, washed, and wiped everything I had just finished cleaning. If she didn’t see you doing it, it didn’t happen.

Oy, that reminds me of the time hubby and I stayed at his mom’s summer bungalow for a week. Our kid was a baby at that time and by the end of the week the place was pretty well trashed.

So we spent the whole day cleaning, vacuuming, polishing, etc.

Late in the afternoon hubby’s sis walked in and said “wow, this place is a mess.”

I could have just about dropped dead.
