Perhaps if he defines "soon" as the sometime in the next millennium. Take my home state of West Virginia for instance. As of the 2010 census it is 98% white. Although that is down about 1/2 of one percent over the last 20 years. Even at the rate it would take 960 years for whites to drop below 50% in the state.
I live in Maine.....also, 98% white. We elected a white TEA Party guy as governor in 2010.
Also, what is now California, Nevada, Utah, New Mexico, Arizona, Texas, etc. have been part of America since the end of the Mexican-American War in 1848. That’s 164 years.
Mexico received it’s independence from Spain in 1821.
The area that compromise the above mentioned states was part of an independent Mexico for only 27 years.....even less for Texas, which was an independent country from 1836 to 1846.
Plus, we paid Mexico for those western territories at the conclusion of the Mexican-American War.
