I was listing his “strength(s)” not saying I was voting for him.

However I am and yes that’s why. I respect your argument (which of course I’ve heard before and I at one point felt the same way) but I want Obama gone. I want his “legacy” destroyed by being a one termer. I want his sycophants crying all over the internet. I want to laugh in their faces and drink their tears. Sure I’m petty but they need to be punished for annoying me for these past 4 years. And he needs to be off my damn TV screen. Last night I watched part of a Geography Bee for kids hosted by Alex Trebek. Guess who asked a question via video? That’s right, Obama! Trebek thanked him and flattered him by suggesting his (Trebek’s) job was in danger. He pops up on ESPN. I personally need to be rid of his presence, period.

If Romney is even worse I’ll take that risk, but despite his horrible record as Governor I reject the notion that he’s a committed socialist like Hillary Clinton (whom I like LESS than Obama, I was perplexed by freepers who cheerleaded for her in 2008 primaries, she’s just as leftist as he and more competent so she’d be even worse, she was our public enemy#1 while Obama was still a pissant State Senator). He’s a weather vane, all he cares about is being President to avenge his dead father and win his approval from beyond the grave. And he probably will be cause this election isn’t about him.

I can’t speak for other Freepers, but I cheerled for Hillary in 2008 solely so that the nomination would go down to the Democrat Convention, which would make the 1968 Democrat Convention look like a church gathering. I wanted to see liberals being dragged by their hair through the blood-soaked streets of Denver (figuratively speaking, of course : ), and the Dems end up picking someone that would piss off half their base, since both black liberals and feminists believed that it was “their turn” and would have thought they were “robbed of the nomination.” Maybe due to Lehman the Dems would have won anyways, but who knows?

Thank you, Impy, for being so straightforward and civil and respectful!

If you're wrong about Romney being like a weather vane ... that's a pretty big risk to take with the Republican party. Romney has always despised conservatives, and if his supporters on FR are any indication of the truism that you can tell a lot about a candidate by the behavior of his supporters, he thinks of conservatives as willful children who need to be talked down until they sit and behave. If it means lying, shouting, bullying, and deceiving to accomplish it, so be it. That's his MO. And remember that he has a very large organization of supporters with lots of money behind him. I expect we see them here on FR, in fact.

On a personal note of character, Romney is a person who individually made the moral choice to promote, congratulate, support, an organization that had as its "outreach" the normalization of homosexuality to kids as young as 12 years old. With your hand, the one you're posting to FR with, would YOU sign such a Governor's proclamation to celebrate that? Romney did. That's depraved and that's what Romney is. He's the kind of guy who wants to let any girl who wants it have an abortion. That is a bad and depraved individual.

Big red flag. That's not "weathervane" behavior.

Texas made it official: Mittens has the delegates. Now it's officially Mittens vs. Obama. People can vote for 'x' or against 'x', not vote at all, have an all-day dentist appointment that day...whatever.

Just understand that either Mittens or Obama is going to be the next POTUS - not Mickey Mouse, Iron Man, Virgil Goode, Sarah Palin, Vince Lombardi, Rudoph the Red-Nosed Reindeer or Mork from Ork.
