Sorry, but in America,, an affair is not criminal. Doing something wrong doesnt make it a crime. Neither is asking someone to help you keep it secret, or asking someone else to provide large sums of money to help you keep it secret.
Also,, if you hire your lover to do campaign work,, thats not criminal.
Theres simply no crime here. If money didnt go into his campaign account, and get used to commit a crime, it isnt a violation. Maybe in the UK,, but not here.

You made a substantial post, the bulk of it criticising his wife. Your disdain for her was intertwined with the case when the two have nothing to do with each other.
If he accepted Federal campaign funds then that absolutely is a crime.
