SANFORD, Fla. - Judge Ken Lester said Friday George Zimmerman has to return to for a hearing within 48 hours.

Lester said that Zimmerman withheld information about how much money he had when he was granted bond.

Zimmerman had more than $200,000 in a PayPal account that had been donated to him on a website, therealgeorgezimmerman.com

The state had a recording of Zimmerman and his wife before the bond hearing in which they acknowledged the money in the account.

That was money intended for his defense.

That money was intended for his living expenses and legal defense.

As I recall, that account was set up just days before his release.

On April 10th during their press conference, Zimmerman's former lawyers Hal Uhrig and Craig Sonner mentioned that therealgeorgezimmerman.com site, with a link to his paypal account, had been launched that previous weekend.

George was booked into the Seminole County Jail the next day and his bond hearing was on April 20th.

What I found odd is that during the hearing both George's wife and his father were asked about the paypal account. They both danced around the question. George was never directly questioned about it.

Yeah, they are going to hold him in jail until the rehearing on his bond.

The judge dismissed the prosecutor’s complaint that he has two passports claiming it is not unusual to lose your passport and get another one. He is interested in why George and his wife did not tell him about the internet money.

There may have been an account for donations to zimmerman on paypal, But that doesn’t make the money his because he had to get legal and accounting advice on that money.

He should have told the judge that. He and his wife testified about their money situation to the judge and failed to say they had a paypal account. :(

Upon what do you base this?

Look up the racial incarceration statistics of prisoners in Florida. Look at the statistics of interracial crime inside a prison.

This is not rocket science. Mr. Zimmerman has a target on his back inside of prison. There are those inside of prison that are motivated by racial hate that want to take him out. There are those inside of prison that would take him out just to gain status in their own group.

I don’t see why that is true. Money donated for a real defense fund really can’t be used for anything else until the defense is done and Bail is not about being punative.
