The judge could have ordered that all the money donated through paypal be returned to the donators.
Heck,why stop there, fine the donators. Shut down paypal for allowing the money to go to Mr Zimmerman's account.
I know it was sarcasm, but the Judge could NOT do those things.
What he can do is what he is doing. Trying to ensure that Mr. Zimmerman does not have the means for a proper legal defense.
I have never heard of a JUDGE setting the BOND based on the defendant's 'income' (real, imagined, or pending).
I have seen Judge's set the BOND for crimes involving RAPE, MURDER, and BILLIONS of DOLLARS of theft way lower than Zimmerman's, based on the concept that they were 'low' flight risks.
