Without mentioning Republicans, Mr. Obama said Congress had not passed measures he had proposed to get jobless construction workers rebuilding roads, bridges and runways; to give small businesses a tax break for new hires; and to help states pay teachers, firefighters and police officers. The steady elimination of public sector jobs has offset increased hiring in the private sector for more than two years.

“So my message to Congress is: Get to work,” he added.

Why should he mention Republicans, his own party isn’t doing what he wants budget-wise? He’s one big losing proposition following him would just be more of the same—losses for our country and our freedoms.

I clicked on this story via Drudge’s page....and obviously I wasn’t the only directed there from Drudge.

It was a hoot to finally read the comments section and see the Times (and its readers) put in their place.

Of course...if you click on the NY Times Recommended Comments tab, you get the usual idiocy.

Green jobs, green shoots, cash for clunkers, PORKULUS, Recovery summer, shovel ready jobs, and the epic fail list goes on on and on.

Weak Economy Points to Obama’s Constraints (NY Times: 'Critics must fair. O's hands are tied')

Critics must fair?

Either 0bama is a liar or an idiot.
Zero lied when he ran in 2008 or Zero was an idiot who couldn’t understand economics and promised the skies and gold paved streets, unaware that he could not deliver.
Which is it, fool or incompetent?
Well, New York Slimes?
Answer the question.

The steady elimination of public sector jobs has offset increased hiring in the private sector for more than two years.

If that's true, America is finally headed in the right direction.

The Great O’s little hands are tied.

He needs dictatorial powers to fix the economy.

Nobody has ever been able to make America prosperous and employed Before with all of those constraints, checks and balances.

The Canadian Governments poured a Billion dollars into GM, as part of Obama’s plan to save the auto industry.
Now, GM will cease production of the Impala and Equinox as of June 1 2013. New product will not be assigned to that plant.
2,000 direct jobs, and many more in the supply chain will be lost.

I guess 0bama did not really “save” GM, nor Chrysler
