I now fear the police more than I fear the criminal.

Which is fine because it's a free country. But there, of course, is the reason why I now believe that so-called patriots are just as untrustworthy as criminals and would like to kill me just as much as any other cop-hater:
You see all cops as criminals, I see all patriots as untrustworthy anarchists who would like to shoot me if I dare try to investigate a crime.
Which side fosters the "us vs. them" more at this point?
