(CNN) – Tom Barrett, the Democratic challenger in Wisconsin’s vote over the recall of Republican Gov. Scott Walker, said Sunday he did not ask President Barack Obama to visit the state ahead of Tuesday’s election.

“We understand he’s got a lot going on,” Barrett said on CNN’s “State of the Union.”

Although Lt. Gov. Rebecca Kleefisch recently said the president’s absence on the campaign trail is a troubling sign for Barrett, the Milwaukee mayor said the election should not be about national politics.

Yeah why didn’t Baraq bring out that fleet of black monster buses they used last summer and do a statewide tour for the Milwaukee guy?

It’s not that he’s too busy. It’s that he “has a lot going on”. Fundraisers mostly.

State of WI officially thrown under the bus?

Sweet - they are both afraid of being tarnished by the other - that's what happens when losers collaborate.

Yes the Bam was in Chicago but Milwaukee is just a little too far away——on bicycle with helmet on. Also there was no money for Bam to sponge off Wisconsin Dems at this time for his campaign. His shun of Wi. may come back to bite him in Nov. with some Dem voters.

Add on braindead, Barrett to Obama’s list of Democrats thrown under the bus. And...all the nutcase public service union goons, crooks, communists, America haters, etc. Obama cares only about himself, his ego, his power, his control over others. period. He could care less about Barrett, the unions, Black Americans, the citizens of Wisconsin, etc.

People of Wisconsin, grab America back from the Obamabots. Vote for Governor Scott Walker this coming Tuesday to save Wisconsin and America together. ABB/ABO = Anybody But Barrett & Anybody But Obama!!! GO SCOTT WALKER TO A MASSIVE VICTORY!!!

They’re trying to triangulate... If they win, it’s a national message. If they lose, just a local election... And the MSM will push whatever narrative Obama comes up with... Really disgraceful, when you think about it

That's why they sent Slick Wille, IMHO. Obama won't be seen anywhere near Barrett, Bill was sent to prove the DNC "cares" about WI.

I think Bubba did it on his own to show the Clintons care more about the rank and file than Obama does
