There is a niche for a reporter that finds out caliber, make and model of weapons, shot placement, and tactical details.

Suspect?
He was killed during the commission of his crime. He isn’t a suspect, he’s the criminal. And he won’t be doing any more home invasions.

First and foremost is sensationalism. A close second is anything that helps the liberal agenda progress. Third is anything that helps 0 get re-elected, but I suspect that as the election gets closer, this will become their top priority.

“A home was left in shambles Saturday night after a robbery attempt went very wrong.”
I’m wondering what this reporter would consider a robbery attempt going right?

This has to be the most muddy, poorly written article posted on FR this week.
What passes for journalism these days is criminal.

Gilma Avalos, hired for her appearance, not her writing or reporting skills.
Read her story a half dozen times and still I don't know what happened.

Witnesses who heard the bulletsI'm sure they heard shots, not bullets. At first I thought this was a report of two different crimes with the "More Crime News" halfway through the article.

A home was left in shambles Saturday night after a robbery attempt went very wrong. If I read the article right, the perp is dead.
That's the best possible outcome short of there having been no robbery attempt at all.

I'd like to see some numbers every week, much like the weekly jobs report, that report the thugs killed by citizens & police. Maybe some billboards around town announcing that X number of thugs were killed last month, & Y number were seriously wounded.
The thugs need to know that they are dying in droves. Locals need to know that citizens & police are at war with violent criminals. Perhaps a few might think twice before committing a crime.
The gov’t & media constantly beat the drum of the consequences of drinking & driving. Gory billboards & mangled cars at intersections are stark warnings to drivers. The media reviews the numbers often.
We need similar stark warnings for thugs, while also reminding citizens to be vigilant & prepared.

This was not a robbery that went wrong. It went right. The perp is dead and the victims are well.
