POLITICO: Green Bay Packers make push for TOM BARRETT
A pair of Green Bay Packers are doing their small part to move the chains for Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett in today’s Wisconsin recall election.
As Raw Story reports, tight end Jermichael Finley and wide receiver Tori Gurley tweeted their support Monday for the recall effort, which seeks to unseat the only man to overshadow the Packers’ 2011 Super Bowl victory in Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker.

Finley and Gurley aren’t the first Packers to support collective bargaining rights which Walker has focused on limiting nor are they unfamiliar with the role of unions. A players’ union battle with team owners almost axed the 2011 NFL season.
If they think this public-sector teacher union issue has anything to do with a private-sector union like theirs, they are complete morons.
“...tight end Jermichael Finley and wide receiver Tori Gurley tweeted their support Monday for the recall effort...”
Having seen Finley drop more than a fair share of balls in the last season, I think he ought to concentrate on his pass-catching skills instead of politics.
To paraphrase Laura Ingraham, “Just Shut Up and Catch the Ball”.
