Sorry brother...

Im not going to support the GOP nominating a socialist. THAT is something that is NEVER going to happen.

I, and plenty of others, are prepared to go to war against the GOP over this. We will see if that comes to pass. You better hope “the great pumpkin” is real. ;)

NO MORE RINOS

The people in Michigan know the TRUTH about what a DISASTER the bail out of CRAPlyer and GOVERNMENT Motors has been. Those companies are RUINING Michigan. The union slugs are sucking those companies dry and will be begging for another bailout in 2013. The paper “profits” are covering over BILLIONS of off-the-books losses. Every time GOVERNMENT Motors sells a Chevy Sonic, the taxpayers lose $5,000. When it sells a Volt, we’re all out almost #200,000 per copy. GM and Chrysler are BLEEDING government money.

Because of Detroit, the rest of Michigan is as conservative as any Southern state.

This election is shaping up to be a blood bath for the democrats, not only Obama, but all up and down the ticket, the idea that 2010 was a one off, and the electorate has forgotten??? Nope, and most of the senators facing the electorate this fall will be facing it for the first time since voting in Obamacare the most hated legislation in modern times... You really think the voters are going to be any kinder now to them??? The Bill is less popular now that it was in 2010!

HJ... Outstanding post....

In the last 2 months I have posted the following, check my post they are here on FR.

* A post asking if I was nuts to think we can get 60 in the Senate, I don't think I am.
* 2 weeks later on Hannity, Morris hints that it can happen.
* I have been posting about the NJ Menendez race and how he is in serious trouble and it is a bellwether.
* I have also posted that this is going to be a blowout that will take them Dem's 20 years to recover from.
* I have been saying for eons Watch Michigan It is gonna be where the action is.

I smell a coming blow out like we have never seen before. The Facade is starting to fall apart in the last few days and what if next week the "SUPREMES" nix Obamacare?

At that point do the DNC money men try to pull a Lautenberg and put Hilda on the Ticket? They can't ! they are screwed and they know it.

Back to it is falling apart, and fast, remember it is only the 2nd week of June.

Tell me how he recovers? I don't see it.

Go work your tails off Freepers for some local dog catcher or US Senatorial candidate, go forward without fear, I can feel it in my gut the Dem's are gonna have their @$$es handed to them like never before...

“Get rid of Detroit, and Michigan is as conservative as any Southern state.”

That’s basically true in most states: get rid of the one or two giant ghetto/Communist urban centers, and the rest of the state is quite conservative. Still, it’s a good reminder. Being somewhat naive, it was rather shocking to me to run into several folks that had moved from Michigan to Colorado with whom I could only characterize as rednecks, as red a neck as any of the rednecks I grew up with in the South. And I say this not to disparage rednecks either: I’ve known quite a few really fine redneck folk in my life. I would FAR rather hang with most rednecks than almost any liberal/progressive/Marxist/Communist/Obammunist. I guess I hadn’t yet realized that rednecks weren’t confined to just the South.

You need to also eliminate Ann Arbor - home to U. of Michigan. Detroit = Milwaukee. Ann Arbor = Madison. Welfare slugs and institutional slugs in both States screw up an otherwise conservative mix.

“Everyone can decide for themselves. Despite all the angst here on FR, this is not a difficult decision for me at all. Romney was not my first choice, but I hope he destroys Obama and surprises us all.”

Look at the political map of Michigan. A full 1/2 of all state house districts are outside the metropolitan Detroit counties; of those 55 districts, 45 are represented by Republicans. Republicans control the state House by 64 to 46 and the Senate by 26 to 12; the governor and lieutenant governor are Republicans.

Why wouldn’t Michigan be in play this time?

Its not simply Romney vs Obama. Or at least it doesn't have to be.

Make it a ticket issue.

McCain by himself was weak. What gave energy to McCain was Palin.

Romney needs an attack dog for a running mate. Someone who will take the fight right to them.

Only 2 people I see will do that.

Romney, overall is viewed as a moderate, so that means the undecideds will naturally go toward the moderate. Romneys weakness is the conservatives. He NEEDS the conservatives to get on board with him.

2 people have proven themselves to be VERY worthy attack dogs and would wrap up the conservative base for Romney. Palin or Gingrich.

I think 2 times in a row in the VP slot is too much, so strike Palin.

Gingrich will ABSOLUTELY BURY Crazy Joe in any VP debate, and can easily attack Zero on any issue from the VP slot.

Whats Zero going to do to counter Gingrich? Attack back at him?

Zero then will look like he's focusing on the number 2 guy. Which means Romney already beats Zero.

Alot of people might not vote for Gingrich FOR president, but would tolerate him as a VP.

Heck, look at Biden. He's become a laughing stock, so people tolerate him.

Liberals won't like whoever the Pubbies put up. Forget trying to draw them.

Obamas the incumbent, if independents and undecided haven't chosen already, they're NOT VOTING for Zero. That leaves conservatives. Newt draws conservatives for Romney.

I have relatives in Michigan. West Central Michigan is chock full of Rednecks.

Trust me, there is a reason for the term "Michigan Hillbilly". Just Google the term and see all the hits that comeback.

Jeff Foxworthy gets ALL his jokes from my relatives.
