Washington Post ^ | 6/10./12 | Suzi Parker

Posted on 06/10/2012 11:59:26 AM PDT by Nachum

In an interview, 36-year-old George P. Bush is as plain-spoken as his grandmother Barbara, who in his telling wears the pants in the Bush family. And while he says his father Jeb, the former governor of Florida, is sincere when he says he isn’t campaigning to join the Romney ticket, George P. also strongly suggests that his dad would say yes if asked: “If called upon to serve, he will,” he says flatly

With McCain the high water mark for RINOs, who lose, Romney can win only if Obama loses 15% of the vote he had in 2008!

We are effed! Plain and simple. Another open borders clown from the Bush family in the White House.

This sounds like part wishful thinking on Jeb’s part. I don’t necessarily like Romney but my gut feeling is he’s not dumb enough to pull this stunt. I suppose that in itself is also wishful thinking. *sigh*

Romney is all prepped to pick a RINO not like himself ~ and that could be any numbe of people ~ I don’ think Jon Huntsman has a chance though.

“Romney would never choose another RINO as his running mate.”

Problem is, he probably WON’T choose. Mittens seems to be very comfortable allowing his high paid consultants telling him what to do.

I worry that the “establishment” Republicans will see the vice presidency as another way to minimize the tea party.

Yes, they are THAT stupid.

Just-no. I don’t think the words “political” and “dynasty” belong in the same sentence, ever-haven’t we learned anything at all? Please, no more Kennedys, Bushes, Clintons et al in politics for awhile-make candidates work and commit themselves for the votes, not inherit them like part of their family’s fortune...

Well that would certainly make deciding what to do (the day after) Romney is elected easier:

Vote against Romney on everything, and work 100% from day one, on his removal. Anyone but Romney.

That is, the day (after) the removal of the previous occupant.

Anyone but Obama comes first though. :D

P, your dad will almost certainly not be the vice-presidential nominee, for the exact same reason he’s not the presidential nominee. Four years after his brother stepped down, the only Republicans truly eager to have a Bush on the ticket are either family, friends of the family, or extremely loyal operatives. I won’t say it’s an absolute certainty your dad won’t be on the ticket. I will say that Sarah Palin will be on the ticket before your dad will.

This sounds like part wishful thinking on Jeb’s part.

Jeb wasn't even in the room!

This sounds like some reporter asked a question and George P. answered it with his own honest opinion.

The reporter obviously wanted to get people into a tizzy and, judging from the responses on this thread at least, it worked.

Romney will not ask anybody with Bush in their name, unless you rearrange the letters.

If that happened, an Independant might have a chance. Not sure if it’s too late for that tho.

Because they are arrogant and believe they have the duty to rule the proles. The elites think they can manage the lives of millions and expect to be rewarded handsomely for their “public service”.
