President Obama Proclaims June “Gay Pride Month”
The New American ^ | 6/8/2012 | Dave Bohon

Posted on 06/10/2012 12:29:31 PM PDT by IbJensen

Every year he has been in office President Obama has made it a point to cozy up to America’s tiny homosexual activist minority by officially recognizing June as “Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Pride Month.” This year, of course, was no exception. Having just come out officially in favor of legalizing same-sex “marriage,” the President followed up on June 1 by issuing this year’s proclamation setting aside the entire month to commemorate the valuable contributions that gays, lesbians, transvestites, and an odds-and-ends assortment of sexually- and gender-confused individuals have made to American society.

“The lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) community has written a proud chapter” in American history, declared Obama with this year’s announcement. “From brave men and women who came out and spoke out, to union and faith leaders who rallied for equality, to activists and advocates who challenged unjust laws and marched on Washington, LGBT Americans and allies have achieved what once seemed inconceivable. This month, we reflect on their enduring legacy, celebrate the movement that has made progress possible, and recommit to securing the fullest blessings of freedom for all Americans.”

The President used the proclamation to remind the “gay” community of all he has done for its members, and how much homosexual voters owe him their support come November. “Since I took office, my administration has worked to broaden opportunity, advance equality, and level the playing field for LGBT people and communities,” Obama said. He pointed out that it was he who forced through the Matthew Shepard and James Byrd, Jr., Hate Crimes Prevention Act, bullied Congress into ending the common sense “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” ban on homosexuals serving in the military, and is currently doing everything he can to overturn the federal Defense of Marriage Act and legislate the redefinition of same-sex partnerships as “marriage.”

But “more remains to be done to ensure every single American is treated equally, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity,” continued the President. “Moving forward, my administration will continue its work to advance the rights of LGBT Americans,” he promised as he officially recognized June as “LGBT Pride” month and invited the American people to celebrate homosexuality as a normal — even praiseworthy — lifestyle.

On the heels of his proclamation, Obama appeared at a June 6 fundraiser attended by some 600 homosexual activists and “gay rights” supporters, including lesbian talk-show host Ellen DeGeneres and 1970s pop singing star and actress Cher, whose own daughter went through “gender reassignment” and changed her name from Chastity to “Chaz” in an effort to live as a man.

OneNewsNow.com reported that Obama “appeared to feed off the energy” of the crowd as he pledged to block any attempt at the reinstatement of the “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” ban. Signing the repeal of that ban, Obama said, was a high-water mark for him as President.

On June 5, Stars and Stripes, the government-funded armed forces newspaper, described the results of the lifting of that ban, joyfully reporting that homosexual military personnel openly celebrated their lifestyle at a special “LGBT Pride” reception thrown by the U.S. Ambassador to Japan in Tokyo. “I can’t believe I’ve been in the Air Force 23 years living in secret, hiding who I am, and now I’m invited to a reception by the emissary of the president of the United States,” Stars and Stripes quoted one attendee, Air Force Master Sgt. Marc Maschhoff.

The military newspaper reported that the event “was an exciting and emotional night for Maschhoff and a handful of other U.S. servicemembers. Maschhoff traveled with his boyfriend — who is also an airman — from Misawa Air Base in northern Japan to Tokyo for the event. Maschhoff said he was invited by the embassy because of his affiliation with the group Outserve, a Washington, D.C.-based association for gay servicemembers with chapters worldwide.”

Amazingly, President Obama has appealed to his supposed Christian faith to justify his support for normalizing the homosexual lifestyle through the force of his office. OneNewsNow reported that on the same day he made his “LGBT Pride” proclamation, and right after a group of black pastors asked to meet with him over their concerns about his endorsement of same-sex marriage as a civil right, “the president pointed to his wife and told ABC News, ‘When we think about our faith, the thing at root that we think about is not only Christ sacrificing Himself on our behalf, but it’s also the golden rule — treat others the way you’d want to be treated.’”

Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth About Homosexuality pointed out that the President is behaving “as if rights based on perverse and immoral behavior are basic rights…. Of course, those aren’t basic rights. Basic rights are what we all share as Americans. Rights based on perversion, on changeable homosexual sin, are not basic rights.” He added that “for a man like Obama, who professes to be a faithful Christian, to be celebrating an agenda based on using the government to create rights based on changeable homosexual behavior — that’s a travesty.”

Bob Stith, a strategist on gender issues for the Southern Baptist Convention and head of its Task Force on Ministry to Homosexuals, told Baptist Press News that Obama is purposefully casting “all those who have a genuine, biblically based belief that homosexual acts are sin as haters.” But, he added, “it is not prejudicial to say that certain acts which have been viewed as sin for over 3,000 years by all three major religions are still sin.”

Stith added that the “words the president uses in his drive to normalize homosexuality clearly portray any who disagree with him as prejudiced bigots. Those who agree are loving and brave. The danger here is that those who dare to seek to protect the definition of marriage which has stood unchallenged for thousands of years are themselves the victims of prejudice and hate.”

Sadly, Stith said, Obama’s “LGBT Pride” proclamation “shows no interest in preventing this kind of bigotry. Rather it is another example that if something is repeated often enough it will be accepted as truth even if the evidence doesn’t support it.”

For myself, I AM NOT CRAZY for Romney, because he is a RINO, but as I have posted, at least the House and the Senate will hold his feet to the fire.

I hope so, and in a special way, the one about adopting a shelter cat month.

I object to Obama primarily on foreign policy. He is going to allow Iran to get a nuke. They will use it or sell it to someone who will use it here.

Isn’t June 19th ‘Afro-American Independance Day’

Did he just crap on the black community again?

Oh well, they’ll likely still vote skin color come November.

Same Here!

I don't know how much our RINO house-sitters and senate-peanut gallery will hold him to the fire - but nothing says the Tea Party can't do just that (once/if) he gets in!

Obozo’s main occupation after being dragged from the occupied White Hut will be trolling for like-minded sodomists in Central Park. Or, on the other hand, he may take up residence on Castro Street where he will feel more at home.

I don’t know what will become of Moochell, Malia and little Sasha, but with the fat pension being given to Obozo they should do just fine.

Why is it a revelation that members of the pervert alliance (homosexuality is really a religion to these level 1 mentally deranged celebrants) would attack any normal dimorphic human that is disgusted with their deviance and disease vectoring?
• About 45 is the average lifespan for the males; at least 15 years lower than for tobacco smokers. It isn’t just the fact that they have an unhealthy lifestyle, but they spread diseases throughout the population. The males are the Typhoid Larrys of the 21st century. And now, they are entering grade schools teaching this behavior to young children; a vile form of sexual harrassment, passed off as tolerance teaching.

“but it’s unsanitary and most always involves the ingestation of fecal matter.”

Yes, and the fecal consumption by the males results in the highest incidence of upper GI tract complications associated with introducing fecal coliform bacteria where they cause disease. Little different from sick parents who have put fecal material into their kid’s food to sicken them.

So when is he going to name a lesbian pride month? And a transgendered pride month? And a crossdresser pride month? Don’t they deserve a month specially put aside for them?

Obama should explain why he thinks homosexual sex is something to brag about and be proud of.

No doubt. Leftist disruptors asked Justice Scalia if he had ever had anal sex with his wife. Why can't anybody ask PBO this?

priority #1 is GET OBAMA OUT OF THE WHITE HOUSE, PERIOD. Obama CANNOT have a second term or the USA as we know of it is FINISHED.

Pardon, but that sounds like Chicken Little -- "The sky is falling!" kind of reacting. I reject the premise that we couldn't survive a second term of Obama. People said that about his first term. They said that about Clinton. It's pure fear talking, and people are more likely to make stupid decisions they regret later when they make them out of pure fear. That is the real price of "anything but" thinking.

This thread is a PERFECT example: its very premise is pointing to Obama's support and proclaiming of the gay agenda as reason that we HAVE to get him out -- and the guy ABO panic wants to replace him with is literally on record as being as pro-gay as Obama, even to the point of praising a homosexual group whose "outreach" includes 12-year-old kids. THAT IS A FACT, and you're telling me that voting FOR that is any kind of a solution?????

That is plumb loco.

Frankly, Romney has A LOT to be desired, since he is an outright RINO. But the reality is THIS, with the way this country’s economy is heading, Romney will be the next POTUS.

Thank you, Biggirl, for maintaining a civil tone. :^) It is much appreciated and admired.

If Romney is the next POTUS (and I DO understand and respect the motivation so many here have for voting for him), I'll have done what I can (by voting on-the-ballot official third party) to make sure that at the least, he's denied any kind of mandate.

People talk about "holding his feet to the fire." The more votes the guy gets, the harder that will be for conservatives to do. The idea that Romney is a weather-vane who will bend to conservatives is wildly wishful thinking, as people who are desperate are apt to engage in. And they might get their wish -- but Romney's entire political career has been to bend people to government.

Voting FOR that to "lead" the Republican party, no matter what it appears to be "against," is dangerous. People are trusting an alwful lot to a person whose character is on record of being one that:

-- Thinks it's good to promote homosexual acceptance to 12-year-olds (that's part of what Gay Youth Pride does, and Romney was a big endorser of Gay Youth Pride)

-- Has said recently that gay couples should have a "right" to adopt kids and start families, which really means he believes the government has a right to punish adoptions agencies and landlords for refusing to cooperate

-- Is on record as not only thinking it the proper use of government to supply tax-funded on-demand abortion to any woman who wants one, but who has said that if a minor female wants an abortion and her parents want to stop her, she should be able to go a judge and have him override her parents.

CHARACTER MATTERS. That is the quality of character that so many here are desperately "trusting" will listen to right-minded conservatives. If Romney wins with a landslide or even a majority ... I think a lot of conservatives who voted for him are going to be kicking themselves for ever thinking they could trust such an obvious creep.

Perverted behavior is nothing to be proud of. How badly I wish your very simple and true statement would be the GOP response to the proclamation. What's next? Pedophilia Pride Month?

You're welcome. I do truly hope that you and others will bravely read, instead of nervously skip, things they'd just as soon not know about Romney, ala ignorance is bliss (until the bastard gets in on an anti-Obama landslide that will morph into a pro-Romney "mandate"). I pray that in the next few short months, ABOers muster the courage to heed the warning signs and face the facts about what they're on the brink of doing.

The most telling in debates with FReepers who are urging me to vote for Romney, is that if I use the term "your candidate" in referring to Romney, they get angry and defensive. They're willing to ignore their common sense and vote for the guy, they're actively trying to talk me into voting for him, but become downright hostile if I observe the obvious: Romney is their candidate. They are so reluctant to vote for him that they don't want to be associated with him, they refuse to claim him -- but are still on the verge of voting for him and are trying to talk me into joining them.

That is a huge red flag warning people that they're about to make a big mistake, that afterward, they would be lamenting, "How could I ever have done something so dumb?"

Obama's people had buyer's remorse -- Romney voters will have it tenfold. See my tagline.
