Adbusters Admits OWS Flopped; Now Promoting 'Flash Encampments'
NewsBusters ^ | June 10, 2012 | P.J. Gladnick

Posted on 06/10/2012 4:21:06 PM PDT by PJ-Comix

The Occupy Wall Street movement was first proposed by the leftwing Canadian magazine, Adbusters. However, now even they are forced to admit the obvious about the failure of their creation which you can read their sad OWS obituary:

Burned out, out of money, out of ideas… seduced by salaries, comfy offices, book deals, old lefty cash and minor celebrity status, some of the most prominent early heroes of our leaderless uprising are losing the edge that catalyzed last year’s one thousand encampments. Bit by bit, Occupy’s first generation is succumbing to an insidious institutionalization and ossification that could be fatal to our young spiritual insurrection unless we leap over it right now. Putting our movement back on track will take nothing short of a revolution within Occupy.

What's never pointed out is that it takes a lot of very hard work to be envied by 99% of the populace.

Peter Pan is choosing to grow up? I doubt that he will succeed as well as someone raised with traditional values, but I'm proud of him for trying.

I hope there are many high profiled flash mob camps from here until November.

I agree. The high octane stupidity should be amusing. Let the hilarity ensue!

I guess that some of them realised that drum circles don’t pay the bills.

They’ll probably try something really stupid like occupying the polling places.

Could be, but the race-cheating Fauxcohantas Elizabeth Warren has proudly proclaimed to have provided the "intellectual basis" for the movement.

As with all liberals, it's hard to tell if she was lying about that while taking in more Wall Street $$$ than the incumbent, Scott Brown.

The fun is gone since they can’t camp out for free in the middle of a city and get free meals, drugs, and sex.

Back to the basement at Mom and Dad’s place.

I would think it more noteworthy that the Cleveland OWS leadership was arrested by the FBI and charged with conspiring to blow up a commuter bridge.

It might have made the news if they were the Cleveland Tea Party leadership.

Claiming to be the intellectual driving force behind #OWS would be like claiming to be the person behind the logistics at Woodstock. The kids camping out at Zuccotti park managed to make more of a mess than their grandparents did at Max Yasgur's farm, and that required the National Guard to restore order

“We need guidance.”

Kinda sums it up. Lacking guidance, OWS demands onerous compulsary govenment guidance - failing to see that those whom they rail against are doing very well because they don’t need guidance.
