Press secretary Jay Carney won't promise that the White House will steer clear of taking quotes out of context, as he said Republicans did with President Obama's comment last week that "the private sector is doing fine."
"That's a rather remarkable question," Carney said during the White House briefing Monday, adding that he wouldn't "speculate" on whether the Obama team would avoid taking Mitt Romney's comments out of context.

obviously pls can mean one of a zillion things, depending on context. It’s [that means “it is”] depending on context - which none of your examples take into account - which makes your post irrelevant.

Thanks. I'm old school so I'm not used to people abbreviating words that really don't need to be abbreviated. It really makes it easier to read a comment or a posting if people spell words the correct way.
Therein lies the rub. Language is different for everyone by degree - besides the language proper, sometimes it's dialect, sometimes it's words, sometimes it's abbreviation, but there are always differences in meanings. Your thought was that it doesn't need abbreviation. That was different than my thought. No worries.
