The state with the highest racially charged search rate was West Virginia, where 41 percent of voters chose Keith Judd, a white man who is also a convicted felon currently in prison in Texas, over Obama just this May. Louisiana, Pennsylvania, Mississippi, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio, South Carolina, Alabama, and New Jersey rounded out the top 10 most-racist areas, according to the search queries used.
Even if states that are considered fairly liberal, racism is prevalent enough in certain areas to put the entire state high up on the list. "Other areas with high percentages included western Pennsylvania, eastern Ohio, upstate New York and southern Mississippi," Stephens-Davidowitz points out in his New York Times article.
The 10 states with the fewest racially charged searches were Utah, Hawaii, Colorado, New Mexico, Idaho, Washington DC, Minnesota, Oregon, Montana, and Wyoming.
What does this mean for this year's contest? "Losing even two percentage points lowers the probability of a candidate's winning the popular vote by a third," Stephens-Davidowitz explains. "Prejudice could cost Mr. Obama crucial states like Ohio, Florida and even Pennsylvania."

This is a LIE!!!
41% of those who voted in the Democrat primary chose Judd over Zer0. WV has "semi-closed" primaries for both parties, so ONLY registered Democrats and those non-aligned voters who chose to vote in the Rat primary were able to vote for Judd.
The Democrat party registrations outweigh the Republican party registrations by 54%-29% in WV.
Were searches of Zer0's eligibility included in those considered "racially charged"? If so, I may have tipped the scales all by my lonesome....
Since WV was the lead state in this article, here are the demographics of WV according to wiki
At the 2010 Census, 93.2% of the population was non-Hispanic White, 3.4% non-Hispanic Black or African American, 0.2% non-Hispanic American Indian and Alaska Native, 0.7% non-Hispanic Asian, 0.1% from some other race (non-Hispanic) and 1.3% of two or more races (non-Hispanic). 1.2% of West Virginia's population was of Hispanic, Latino, or Spanish origin (they may be of any race).
Anyone that says that opposition to 0bama is based in racism is asserting that
A) We’d not oppose his Marxist policies if he were white.
B) We’d oppose a strongly conservative black man as president.
Absurd.
As for your reference to “culture”, that’s the crux of the matter, skin color is irrelevant, but has a nearly 1.0 correlation to the culture which we are judging.
If someone wants to call me a “culturist”, I’ll gladly own up to that, then challenge the person to justify that all cultures are equally beneficial to the human condition. They can’t do it.
What liberal barf!...Now that Obama stands a very good chance of losing the election its because we are all racist? Liberals and their ever present race card! I would vote for a conservative black anyday over socialist Obama!
Expect to hear all of these in November.
1. It was the racism...
2. Once again religiousity and bigotry have hurt a president, this time one who stood up for the civil rights of homosexual couples...
3. Once again the public has fallen for the lies of Republicans...
4. Once again the public has voted against their own financial interests...
Expect to hear several of these talking points rolled into one statement (e.g., once again the public has voted against their own financial interests, throwing a temper tantrum at the polls spurred by religious social issues and Republican lies...)
Only a liberal can claim someone that won an election but then lost it for bad performance has somehow been prejudiced against.
I’m with you on that. He and his crew are doing all they can to gin up racism, most of which comes from them, not whites.
Another example of their hypocrisy is his boy Eric Holder talking about avoiding a “Constitutional crisis” yesterday during his farcical “testimony” before Congress.
The only constitutional crisis is BHO et al taking control of our country.
