Hopefully, but even without fraud, Philly is nearly impossible to overcome. Will take a very depressed black turnout and a very motivated conservative base... or maybe even a national landslide tidal wave as I don’t see the blacks staying home. Mitt has a long, long way to go for that to happen.

Qunnipiac polls usually over sample dems, so I would take this with a grain of salt, Obama of course is stuck in the mid 40’s not good for an incumbant.

He has a better chance at NJ

Yep. Tea party candidate, Anna Little, won the primary in my district. She lost last she ran in 2010. She'll be going up against Pallone.

OK so let’s see here. Everyone everywhere agrees the number 1 issue is the economy and jobs creation. Romney leads Obama in BOTH of these categories in this poll and yet these same people claim they would rather see Obama as president then Romney.

I was thinking the same thing. At least if they're going to publish such a poll, tell us what women and these "independents" find important. What qualities are they looking for in a President?

58% of Republicans say Obama is likeable?

Are any of you here on FR?

If so, would you please explain what you find likeable about him.

As a fellow PA resident I think you MAY be wrong. Lots of blue collar democrats are sick of his cr*p. Not that they will tell a stranger over the phone, but over a beer...yes.

Romney won’t win PA. Too many blacks and dead people there. He has a better chance at NJ.

I'm a poll watcher and this year, the rolls have been cleared of the dead voters, and we now have Voter ID {once it gets through the court system}.

The demonRATS can still cheat but it will be harder and they won't be able to cheat with the same number of voters.

PARTY IDENTIFICATION

Republican ............ 33%
Democrat .............. 38%
Independent ............24%
Other/DK/NA ........... 5%

Given this sample distribution, for Obama to have only 46% support means he is in a great deal of trouble. Likely voters will contain a much greater share of Republicans, and "undecided" voters almost never break for the incumbent.

Telephone poll of "registered voters". Polls of "likely voters" are really the only ones that matter.

Yes. If it's this close among registered voters, it's highly likely that he's significantly behind among those who will actually go out and vote. Absent an excellently-crafted October surprise, I smell a rout.

“many undecided” = many who just don’t want to be harassed by Black Panthers and SEIU union hacks for stating their position.

Anyone who is undecided about a sitting president is almost certainly going to break for their opponent. PA is in play folks... and honestly, I don’t think Obama can win this state.

He won’t have the governorship carrying water for him this time.. PA is a blue dog state, and Obama has done everything in his power to alienate the blue dog dems... I really don’t think Obama can win here.

I really think the only states Obama is going to carry in the rust belt are MN and IL.. all others he will lose.

PA will go red before NJ will, that’s for damned sure.

Philly is a NY Suburb that basically skews the entire state, but make no mistake about it, PA is a Blue Dog state, and Obama has alienated this contingent big time.

Even the most ardent democrats I know have admitted the mans an idiot. I haven’t met anyone who I know that is not a hard core democrat that admitted to voted for him last time that plans to this time.

He’s lost the blue collar worker.. not all of them mind you, but enough of them that he can’t make it up from other areas.. that’s the story of this election.

“Registered Voters” or “Likely Voters”? Big difference since only about 40 percent of “Registered Voters” even bother to vote. IOW polls are not too reliable.

Disappointing. I find it hard to believe that in such a large state, that one area could be so devastating.

I grew up in PA, I last visited just 2 weeks ago. I talked to many people, and the north side, and the central / west side are so full of hardworking Americans. Old enough to understand what the mining and steel towns were all about, and how they fell. American Pride is still the rule of the day.

Am I to believe that Philly is so full of crud that it throws the balances off that much ? It scares me, I was looking to move back.

PA is 10% black, less than the 12% average. It is 80% white. I am stumped why PA votes mostly for Democrats. Possibly it's just family tradition from their factory and coal mining days. But the Democrat Party has left them for homo-socialism, and the Republican Party is now indistinguishable from the traditional Democrat Party. It makes no sense they'd vote for the Occupy crowd to run America.
