I remember the latrines at the Indy 500 in the 60s they used a barn-sized rain gutter sealed to the concrete block wall, and a downspout to the septic.
The old Tiger Stadium in Detroit had those troughs. They were so iconic someone actually stole one and managed to get out of the stadium with it during the last game ever played.
