Gay activists threaten to challenge Catholic doctrine in court if schools don’t follow Bill 13

As Catholic bishops in Ontario scramble to figure out how to square McGuinty’s new law mandating Gay-Straight Alliances with Catholic teaching on sexual morality, homosexual activist groups say that they are prepared to challenge Catholic doctrine in court come September.

Ontario Gay-Straight Alliances Coalition lawyer Doug Elliott told the homsoexual news service Xtra! that if Catholics “driven by the position of the Vatican” think they have found a loophole in the legislation, then they will be hauled before the courts.

“If the schools try to play games with kids …. the law is clear. We won’t put up with any of that crap come September,” Elliott said. “If you’re not complying with the law, then we’re going to take you to court. It’s that simple.”

Tonya Callaghan, a lesbian researcher and former Catholic teacher whose work, “Holy Homophobia: Doctrinal Disciplining of Non-heterosexuals in Canadian Catholic Schools,” is about to be published, says that Catholic schools are “hotbeds of homophobia”.

“The reason is because of Catholic doctrine that directs all the policy and practice in those schools regarding sexual minority groups,” she told Xtra!.

Callaghan said that Catholic doctrine on homosexuality “flies in the face of the laws of the land and Canadian equality rights.” She called the Catholic document titled Pastoral Guidelines to Assist Students of Same-Sex Attraction “dangerous” because “the doctrine [within it] is like bullying to queer youth.”

Canada was founded on the articles of confederation in the British North America act which gave both Catholics and Protestants legal rights, also in education, to teach freely according to the dictates of their religion.

Canada has also a Charter of Rights and Freedoms with includes freedom of religion. When it was drafted, homosexual rights were explicitly excluded by the drafters.

Homosexual rights were read into the charter by the courts. I point this history out because it indicates that constitutions, bills of rights or charters are no real defense against determined wickedness. They are pieces of paper which men tear up when it suits them.

God’s judgment however does not change.

Ah, not for me. It’s not a matter of toe mA toe. For me, the difference has a very profound consequences theologically, which influence the ethics.

This article is chock full of things that boggle the (thinking) mind......”homosexual news service”? “lesbian researcher”? They all belong on the B Ark with the telephone sanitizers and management consultants. Course now that Obama has come out of the closet these are the sorts of people that will be in charge of things if we don’t get rid of him.

This would be a good time for you to research what happened in the Vendée in France in the 1790’s. That will answer your question. By the way, the Crusades weren’t what you apparently think they were, based upon your remark.

The problem for the Catholic schools in Ontario is that they are publicly funded. The Canadian Supreme Court has already ruled that Ontario does not need to extend public funding to Jewish or moon cult schools.

Once you accept taxpayer money, you're screwed. My advice is for the RCC to tell the Canuck Ceasar that he can keep his filthy denarii, tell the queers to shove off, and go about their business of providing an untainted Catholic education as purely private schools.

Disgusting sodomites used to have enough sense to feel guilty ashamed of themselves so would stay in the closet. Now these perverts & misfits are trying to dominate normal people. But they still know the “sex” they have is insane and contrary to human nature especially what the guys do to each other. Plus keep doing that anal sex and it will make them even crazier because it messes up their nervous system on up to their brains

Very true...and we're not talking about a very old document, either. It received royal assent in 1982.
