The Bavarian peasants I come from have it right, they say that the first generation does all the work, the second generation reaps the benefit and the third destroys what remains.
The Bavarian peasants I come from have it right, they say that the first generation does all the work, the second generation reaps the benefit and the third destroys what remains. An apt saying.
But even when the first generation has the prescience to unload their wealth into a foundation (e.g., Rockefeller, Ford, etc.) their money still ends up funding left-wing causes.
The left has made fleecing the rich into an art form.
HA! I guess that's because they have to...it's not as if they advocate going out and starting an industry or any kind of endeavour that would provide an income...think of all those ‘poor poor wage-slaves’ (immigrants) that built the railroads, the motor-vehicle assembly lines, the highways, the shipping, not one of them established by a marxist, but by men who had a vision from which others enjoyed the benefit. And then the next generation couldn't give it away fast enough, to prove how ‘humane’ they were. Last I heard, one of the Rockefeller female descendants was living in a trailer with her dogs and told her interviewer how guilt she felt, inheriting all that money.
Pity she didn't feel guilty enough to invest it in something that might have created an honest income for people, like her grandfather or great-grandfather did.
And they demonized him as they stripped his Trusts, throwing the money further and further away from where it should have done the most good...IN THE USA!
The Rockefeller Brothers Trust apparently educated some 30,000 foreign students in the early fifties.
And they almost all went back home and became supporters of Marxist dictators such as Nkrumah of Ghana, Kenyatta of Kenya etc...
Oh but I do ramble on.
WASTED! All the good of all those years of industry. It really is enough to break a heart...
