Fred, such idiocy is nothing new in America.

Pyotr Kropotkin was the toast of New York society in the 1890's -- in demand at all the salons of the wealthy.

And what was he doing there? Openly collecting funds for Nikolai Lenin and his Bolsheviks. The Astors and the Morgans, et al, contributed generously.

Stuart Mott and his ilk were merely his generation's spoiled rich kids.

The Bavarian peasants I come from have it right, they say that the first generation does all the work, the second generation reaps the benefit and the third destroys what remains.
