When a man is aware of the sissified culture we live in, it might be prudent to say doe-eyed platitudes like "Honest, I never shot that evil gun till today." And "You heard how crazy he was, right?" when you know the MSM will portray you in the worst possible light afterward.
In a post-Zimmerman world, any thinking individual needs to plan for the aftermath of a justified shooting as carefully as how to protect his loved ones. The Darwin Award Winner had clearly presented himself as a threat based on the restraining order being issued. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to perceive that he might become a physical threat.
Based on the victorious shooter's actions, I doubt very much that he was "fortunate," just very savvy.
