Romney at 48%- almost at 50.

Nothing's settled here and poll numbers vary.   Here's another report:

INVESTOR'S BUSINESS DAILY

President Obama still holds a small lead over Mitt Romney, 46%-42%, according to the latest IBD/TIPP poll released Monday, up from a 3-point edge a month ago.

A nice historical note from Ras:

Four years ago, after wrapping up the Democratic nomination, Obama led John McCain every single day during the month of June. His average lead was five percentage points. Obama eventually won by seven points. In the first 13 days of June for Election 2102, Romney has held the lead 10 times, the candidates have been tied twice, and Obama has been on top once.

He should not do that unless the need to do so becomes apparent. He should stay with the obvious failure of Obama and the Democrats. And not do anything to distract from their suicidal tendencies!!

The Clintonites who defected to the Obama camp surely have a clock going off in their heads - like a quarterback who knows when he’s been in the pocket too long.

If O is still behind in the polls, when this clock runs down (maybe September?), his campaign workers are going to abandon ship, and try to find another seat at the government trough, in congressional and senate campaigns.

Obama shows loyalty to no-one...and the reverse will be true also.

For these reasons, I believe these early polls are starting to have value.

Hope the GOP E-RINO folks are enjoying "Myth's Salad Days" ...

Axelrod-Obama will DESTROY Myth ... Period ...

And once the "LDS Weirdness Truth" becomes emblazoned across America ...

those "Evangelical Christians" ... that the GOP E-RINO Karl Rove goons take for granted ... will abandon Myth by the millions ...

What I'm failing to understand about many Free Republic members is the "absolute pollyana" attitude about the 2012 election ...

Gravity kills, water is wet ...

and Axelrod-Obama ALREADY have Myth's defeat "perfectly" scripted out ...

I can assure you ... their MSM-Lackeys are ALREADY clandestinely in "film production" ...

of the Gobbells-style propaganda blitzkrieg planned for Myth ...

to be launched (live a Soviet ICBM first-strike) ...

five seconds after Myth's GOP acceptance speech is finished ...

My posts regarding Myth ...

are NOT designed to perpetuate a GOP defeat against Obama ...

but rather to warn that the GOP wants to bring a knife to a gun-fight ... with Myth ...

the "Celestial God-Child from Planet Kolob" ...

and the result will be a POLITICAL MASSACRE ...

The internals of the IBD/TIPP poll:

The June 1-8 poll of 912 U.S. adults, including 841 registered voters

Democrat(34%), Republican (29%), Independent/Other(32%), Not sure/Refused(5%).

The internals show it's the most worthless of polls because it's not likely voters. It's not even registered voters. It's just voters of whom some are registered voters. And it's skewed towards Democrat voters. Rasmussen is always likely voters which makes it a more valuable tool for probable end results.

Hillary will turn 69 in 2016, the same age as Ronald Reagan when he ran for president in 1980.

While it is by no means a sure thing, it will probably be her last chance. The irony will not be lost on her. If Obama wins again, she will have a strong headwind running against eight years of Obama fatigue, even if she steps down as SOS to insulate herself a little from that fatigue.

If Romney wins and governs like Bush I, as most expect that he will, she will be running with the wind at her back.

There is a reason Bill keeps giving gifts of gaffes. Bill was a great liar when he was president and superb in twisting meanings of words, but I never recall him as being gaffe prone. Does anyone?

Huh.   IBD usually does better than that but (evidently) not always.

Doubtful. If 20% of NC blacks ADMITTED that they’re voting for Romney, the actual number must be much higher (@30%). I have a lot of black students and from what I’ve heard, they’re not voting for him unless they’re committed liberals or welfare recipients. Quite a few of the kids I teach have successful, hardworking parents that see the writing on the wall as clearly as we do.

People do not realize how big of a blowout it will be if the race were held today.
