During his first 18 months as governor of Massachusetts, Mitt Romney spent considerable time hammering out a sweeping climate change plan to reduce the state's greenhouse gas emissions...

Before doing an about-face toward the end of his term as he began to prepare for his first run for president, Romney pushed to close coal-fired plants, encourage the development of renewable energy and contain sprawl - steps similar to some President Obama has taken. Indeed, one of Romney's top environmental staffers, Gina McCarthy, now runs the air pollution unit of the EPA under Obama. John Holdren, a scientist Romney turned to on at least one occasion to discuss climate change, is the White House senior advisor on science and technology issues.

Romney's gubernatorial record on energy and the environment has little in common with the positions he has staked out in the presidential race, those who knew him in Massachusetts say...

What I remember of Romney’s terms as Governor was that he had to work with a overwhelmingly Democrat State Senate and House. Yes, he signed the Massachusetts Dem-care into law, but the bill would have been even more liberal if he hadn’t made some compromises elsewhere, so the Dems would compromise,if only, as Dems do, just a smidge. So, I am sure there were many more compromises he had to make, as there are so few elected GOP in Massachusetts State Congress. It was amazing that Mass had a GOP Governor to balance out the Dem State Congress.

Sorry but aside from the birther points... you’ve got nothing substantial. If you look at the REAL ISSUES you’ll see very little difference between the two.

Both have a solid history of abortions, tax increases, gay marriage, liberal judicial appointments, belief in global warming, gun control and of course SOCIALIZED HEALTHCARE!

How much more substantial can you get? Barack Obama is a Communist that is hell bent on destroying our country.

I don't give a crap what Mitt did in Mass. It's what Mitt will do or more importantly what he will not do as president. Mitt Romney is NOT out to destroy this country.

We must get rid of Obama. It's looking very scary right now as Mitt does not seem like he is willing to take the gloves off. He could lose this thing and then we are going to be doomed VERY quickly.
