Kind of like we used to do with criminals before we got over-civilized. ;-)
The problem is, it’s also a message to anti-hunting types. Young children really like squirrels — any that saw that display would be upset. If the kids are upset, so are their mothers. Next thing you know, you’re brought up on animal cruelty charges. IMHO, the guy was asking for it.
