Right after reading the test, I saw another headline on FR: “Where do milk, eggs and bacon come from? One in three youths don’t know.”

A few years back I was listening to some recordings of old radio quiz shows from the 1940s, which took people randomly from the audience and asked them questions for prizes and such. Just average folks, businessmen and housewives. It was almost AMAZING how much they all knew about history and geography and literature, compared to the typical person today.
