Did you get all your new corn planted? What is done growing? Bunnies decide on anything else?

No, I didn’t get the rest of the corn in. I took most of this week off for job hunting and church chores. I’ve decided to leave that plot fallow this year unless the rest of my peppers sprout. I’ve got about a dozen big sunflowers growing along the edge, but I’ve got about 40 corn stalks growing in the rear plot and figure that’s more than enough since I still have frozen ears from the last two seasons. Red, pinto and dragon beans are coming along, some of the red and yellow onions are ready to harvest and the garlic is doing well. Strawberries have run their course I think and the new fence kept the bunnies out this year so there was plenty. My grapes and blueberries are coming in strong and I need to get my nets up soon to keep the birds out. Both mine and my neighbor’s pear trees (which he lets me harvest) are in overdrive and by early September I’ll have many bushels. Some of the hot peppers are producing fruit already and I expect some potatoes by next month too. My tomato plants have taken off too and maybe I’ll have some in a few weeks.
