As a Chicago native, (who had the good sense to bail out 43 years ago) it sickens me to note that many of the areas where these shootings happen are neighborhoods that I either grew up in or frequented back in the 40’s and 50’s. Of course, the makeup of these neighborhoods was quite different then and they were safe.

I don’t know why anybody would want to live in Chicago any more. I wouldn’t even go back for a visit now.

The idyllic neighborhood I grew up in in the 60’s and 70’s turned into a gang infested sh!thole 20 years after desegregation. Our parents had the good sense to move us to a place where no “forced” desegregation could take place.
