Obama’s looking better and better - as long as he’s restrained by GOP majorities in both houses. If Romney becomes prez, he’ll use Democratic minorities and GOP centrists to get his liberal legislation passed. Whereas Obama provides no political cover for GOP turncoats in Congress.

I want Eric Holder out of there, as well as the czars. I also do not want to see four years more of SCOTUS picks from Obama.

I’m not a Romney fan, but at least he’ll fire Holder.

You actually have a point, in a twisted way. While I cannot subscribe to the theory that one more second of Obama is tolerable, I do know what you mean about a turncoat Republican in office.

Wind back to the late 1990's. The so-called "assault weapons" ban in New York could not get passed, because the Republicans in one of the houses, I forget which, stymied every effort by the then-Democrat governor to get it enacted.

Enter George Pataki. He gets handily elected, in no small part due to the efforts of a group called "Sportsmen For Pataki". They were a pro-gun PAC.

Pataki assumes office, then IMMEDIATELY works to get the "assault weapons" ban passed, leaning on fellow Republicans as only a member of a party can do. It passes.

Pataki accomplished, quickly, what Mario Cuomo could not, and it was one of the many factors causing me to flee the state.

The point is, an enemy inside the gate is much more dangerous than a known enemy outside the gate.

Ah, finally, at least one "Honest" Hate-Romney Freep.

Just as I thought; there are some here (which I was under the misapprehension?) was a CONSERVATIVE site, but alas I was mistaken, considering those (like yourself) who would as soon see our FASCIST, NEO-COMMIE, ISLAMIC-JIHADIST/MUSLIM BROTHERHOOD-Appeaser/Defender/Supporter, reelected, so that he can continue for another 4 years, unobstructed in his quest to HARM--if not DESTROY--our Republic...which no matter how much of a wuss, flip-flopping, RIHO Mittens is, he has never said or done anything which is even close to what our Community Agitator has.

Makes we want to barf!!!

PS: Yeah, with 10+ RINO's in the Senate and with the Weeper of the House (Bone-er) who have done nothing at all to oppose any of Dear Leader's Unconstitutional Ex Orders, Diktats and end runs around Congress using Czars and Agencies such as the EPA, are you really that clueless, dense, ignorant or demented to actually believe that the Pubes will keep him in check???

Six years of bush and GOP Congress got us huge deficits and disastrous housing bubble. (Yes I know the Dems under Clinton started the bubble, but Bush and GOP kept it going by encouraging easy lending for people who couldn’t afford houses).

In contrast, when Clinton was president with a GOP Congress, we actually had some restraint in spending. The Republicans were incentivized to challenge the executive instead of to go along.

OTOH, a reelected Obama will give us terrible judges.

Art of War 101. It's amazing how many people don't understand this.

“Obama’s looking better and better - as long as he’s restrained by GOP majorities in both houses. “

Just 3 days after Obama goes out of his way to show his arrogant disregard for the Constitution, rule of law, powers of Congress, and political compromise ... you talk of Obama ‘restrained’? My brain hurts..

we have enough proof there is no “restraint” on this would-be dictator. He needs to be removed from office forthwith.

The thing that is left to vote for, that is always worth voting Republican over Democrat is of course the Supreme Court. Four current members (2 conservatives, 2 liberals) are in their 70s. Losing the chance to replace Stevens and Souter was bad enough, but now we face the grim prospect of Obama replacing Scalia or Kennedy, thus turning the court totally to the left, or at least replacing Breyer and Ginsburg and robbing us of our chance to finally right the Court.

Having said all of that, Romney’s cowardice on this is deeply distressing. This goes against the promise he showed in the primary when he spoke of using attrition-through-enforcement to deal with illegals (i.e. self-deportation). But even if this shows Romney is going soft or illegals (or that he has always been soft and the primary talk was just lies), then why couldn’t he at least go after Obama on Constitutional grounds? That is an easy, no-brainer. The Constitution says the President is to enforce the laws...and here he is just saying he’s not going to do so! It’s not the first time of course, as he’s done the same with DOMA, but at least there he makes the claim (false and self-serving that it is) that DOMA is unconstitutional. But here, not even Obama is claiming the law calling for the deportation of illegal aliens is unconstitutional. Yet Romney and the GOP are sadly, but not really surprisingly, pathetic in their response.

I have to disagree though that a President Romney would get an amnesty passed into law. Bush was unable to do so mostly because of a near-revolt from Republicans. I think the same could very well happen again should a President Romney follow in Bush’s footsteps.

So for the Supreme Court alone, Romney is worth voting for. He might nominate and get confirmed good judges. With Obama, we know he will nominate and get confirmed horrible judges.

Still though, for his pathetic response to Obama’s outrageous actions here, I have to say FU Romney!
