A top surrogate of Romney's, Arizona Sen. John McCain, went slightly further. Romney was "certainly willing to address that issue and immigration reform in a comprehensive way," McCain said on NBC's "Meet the Press."

Hmmm, where have I heard that term before?
"[Romney's] new immigration proposal tracks closely to a plan that had been developed by Florida Sen. Marco Rubio, which Romney had said he was studying."
EVERY bit of political momentum the GOP has gained in the last month has just crashed to Earth in flames.
Romney's election strategy...
(1) Support Rubio's "Dream Act."
(2) Demoralize Conservatives.
(3) Deliver 800,000 new Socialist voters to the Democrat Party.

Not much different than what it was when he ran for governor of Massachusetts.
Romney is a liberal socialist hack...PERIOD!
I think what they are saying is that they would have done the same thing Obama just did illegally.
Our country is a dead duck while we have crap like this running it.
Romney is weaseling around with the ‘comprehensive immigration law’ BS. However, until he offers something concrete, which he’ll have to do soon because Obama forced his hand - and Romney’s ‘plan’ may well be just amnesty with a happy face that he’ll call ‘conservative’ - I’ll hold my fire. He’s all we realistically have against an Obama second term and frankly, I’m far more worried about an unfettered Obama using his second term to finally destroy America than I am about Romney’s big-government proclivities.
The BIG question is: Would a Sarah Palin or Mitt Romney by-pass Congress and make their own version of the Dream Act law by executive order if it 's defeated again in Congress?
That's the question.
I am still waiting for people to get upset at Michelle Bachmann for saying the same things back in September, yet every one wanted to give her a free pass.
“”What I would do, is Id make sure that by coming into office, I would work with Congress to put in place a long-term solution for the children of those that have come here illegally,” Romney said Sunday on “Face the Nation.””
Yeah, I’d shag them too. A lot of good-looking young ones who are too good to pass up... Woo Hoo. /S

Romney and republicans should focus on how Obama made policy and not on the policy itself.
Obama’s hope is that this becomes an issue for so called “immigration”.
Looking at this issue through the lens of a conservative, this is an issue about our Contsitution and how bills become a law.
The Dream Act was defeated. We worked hard to defeat it. It should not be an issue.
“A top surrogate of Romney’s, Arizona Sen. John McCain”
When McStain speaks for you, you’re in trouble....
We already have good common sense immigration laws. The nation is currently flooded with tens of millions of illegal aliens primarily from Mexico. They are here because the government has been criminally negligent on enforcing the matter for decades, even encouraging it. Any further discussion is merely to make legal what is now criminal. In my mind there is no room for negotiation. They must go home. Period. End of f’ing story.
And, MSNBC knew exactly which mealy-mouth GOP politician to approach in order to help in their support of Zero.
Romney is a total jackass. He not only is a congenital liar without any moral principles, a gay activist, a baby killer, and a socialist, but he seems determined to throw the election to Obama with these stupid choices.
If he is saying these kinds of things now, imagine what he would do if he was once in office and able to do whatever he liked.
Obama couldn’t have chosen a better opponent if he had turned over every rock in the GOP Establishment.
Thank God Obama won and not McCaine.
And better that Obama wins than Romney! / SARC
Listen up Romney. You need to assure Catholics and other Christians that your administration will work to protect their religious freedom and separation from despotic government. That will get you Hispanic votes. Assure the American public that your administration won’t rot freedom of speech with political correctness. Most of all find a way to convince Americans that they come first; they get the jobs first, and they get first dibs on education. Don’t get baited into the immigration reform trap by idiots like McCain.
Amen! All this, "If you don't follow the steps that at some point in immigration reform that we are going to be able to provide blah blah blah...put in place a long-term solution for the children...blah blah blah..." It's all just wish-washy, weasely, politician double-talk to disguise the fact that they're going to grant amnesty! They think the American people are stupid.
Just enforce the d*** laws! Period.
Let's be clear. Obama did not choose Romney. Romney was chosen for him by the usual suspects in the MSM.
Romney can KMA.
He started this with 10 million down to Obama's 69 million, and with 17 million Evangelicals out of the race.
Now, add another 24 million unemployed, and he's going to be picking up votes like Herbert Hoover ~
And you all sucked down the bait like it was ice cream. Pathetic.
Sure, it's a simple definition (are you now or have you ever been a Democrat politician) but doggone does it work.
Romney even scored badly because while in office he made donations to Democrat politicians!
I had to add a codicil to cover people like Paul and that crowd who do the third-party stuff all the time. They are also RINOs.
Guess 'bama will toss that bomb back at him now.
BTW, it is simply not considered a punishment to live in your own country.
Vote mcCain out.
Yup. Same here. Can’t stand Mitt but the objective is to prevent Klownie the kenyan from getting a 2nd term and destroying us completely.
“Those people who’ve come here illegally and are in this country, the 12 million or so who are here illegally, should be able to sign up for permanent residency or citizenship”——Mitt Romney, 2007
Never expect a liberal and a liar to be anything but just that.
The question becomes who will obey the rule of law if congress and the people say “NO”.
Obama: Pfffftttt....like Caesar to Rome...F**K the Senate!!!
Romney: He can dance and prance as much as he wants but it’s all BS until a bill is introduced. And no, he’s not that dumb to use an executive order or bypass congress because the blow black would make the Walker recall look like a “tea party”.
Palin: Same as Romney. She can say things which can be smeared and stretched by friend & foe alike. Others in this post can keep beating “She wants amnesty” like a Johnny one note until perdition’s flame but, psssst....she’s not running for office!!! She’s entitled to her opinion and can (gasp) change her mind as well.
As to a President Palin bypassing congress and passing an amnesty bill by fiat, you haven’t been researching (or listening) to her for the past 20 years too well.
We don’t need to reform our immigration laws. We just need to enforce them.
Palin on the Dream Act
June 1, 2011
“The immigrants of the past, they had to literally and figuratively stand in line and follow rules to become U.S. citizens. Id like to see that continue. And unfortunately, the DREAM Act kind of usurps that-the system that is a legal system to make sure that immigrants who want to be here legally, working hard, producing and supplying revenue and resources for their families, that theyre able to do that right and legally. Unfortunately, the DREAM Act doesnt accomplish that,”
——Gov. Sarah Palin while at Ellis Island.
Disagree.
Romney sucked the bait down - and spit it directly into the faces of Conservatives, like me, who believed the Immigration Enforcement lies he told during the Primaries.
Today, he delegated Amnesty advocate McCain to speak for him on “Meet The Press.”
Last week, he promised to carefully study “Dream Act” Rubio’s immigration proposals, and he does nothing to discourage speculation that Rubio will be his Vice President.
And no one on the other side of this argument - like you, hinckley - ever explains what you plan to do when new Mexican-American citizens in Texas deliver 38 electoral votes to the Democrat presidential nominee in 2016.
Well we have to get rid of Obama. That is something that just has to happen so I’ll hold my fire on Mitt for now. I’m not feeling the good vibes on immigration from Mitt though. He is already waffling around. Hopefully its just to keep from alienating votes til he gets elected.
