GOP Has Work To Do To Win Over Hispanics

I do not understand this concept. For the record, my wife is Venezuelan.

People are people.

You either vote for a conservative or for a liberal (based on your own beliefs).

Why does the GOP need to work any harder to win over Hispanics?

I have noticed that recently Marco Rubio has implied that "Hispanics" and "illegal aliens" are synonymous of each other.

Bingo. What do they mean by they have more work for Hispanics? Do Hispanics need jobs just like everyone else? Do they need less government regulation, freedom of speech, freedom of religion, lower taxes? Will they benefit by spending cuts, reducing the massive deficit, and living within our means? Are these only important for white Americans? These are priorities important for all Americans regardless of race, so that their quality of life, economic and personal liberties are maintained and improved.

However, if "win over Hispanics" means throwing open our borders so that most of South America moves in here, then that is a problem for all Americans including Hispanics.

If they want to work with Hispanics, they should maybe tell Hispanics what conservatism is all about. They can teach the legal immigrants the concepts of limited government, personal responsibility, faith and family, and freedom and liberty. They can share these concepts translated into Spanish if they wish.
