I don't have a problem with this. People do dumb things at work and are disciplined and not fired all the time. Even jobs that aren't union. I know there are a lot who disagree with me on this one, but that's just what I think of the situation. It this was the latest offense in a run of similar things, then yeah, she should have been fired

I agree, this will be a nightmare for her. The “monitored growth plan” involves the principal, AP’s and other teachers dropping in at all times of the day. She will be walking on pins and needles afraid to have any discussions. Oh and the students will constantly try to get her into a heated discussion to trip her up.

I am very divided on this because yes, most of the time people who make mistakes should be allowed to learn from them and continue on their careers.

But, we are talking about molding the very formative minds of teenagers and this woman can and will continue to infect these kids; that bothers me!

More importantly, she will have little to no respect from most of her students and that is a bad thing in a classroom. PERIOD!

I dont have a problem with this either. She had a leftist loony moment and got caught, but now has to be monitored like the child she is.
