Disturbing Viral Video Shows Middle Schoolers Abusing & Threatening Bus Monitor

Prepare to see a disturbing video of young people at their worst. This clip of middle schoolers allegedly abusing a bus monitor is so disgusting, so bothersome that it will leave many wondering what has gone awry in our society. Of course, it is merely one of the many tragic, anecdotal instances of human cruelty that we so often see today. The unbelievable clip is painful to watch, as it shows alleged students from Greece Athena Middle School in Rochester, New York (my hometown) take their abuse to horrific levels.

The woman purportedly shown in the video, Karen Huff Klein, 68, is victimized incessantly, as students spew insults and obscenities at her. Throughout the clip, the children can be heard in the background calling her “fat,” threatening her and making fun of her hairstyle, among other sentiments. Astonishingly, the abuse continues for more than 10 minutes.

Of course, this description is mild when compared to hearing the actual words used in the clip. As can be viewed and heard above, the children told Klein that she looks like a troll and that she should “shut the f**k up” when she tried to defend herself.

Here‘s a selection of some of the other grotesque comments that were thrown Klein’s way in the first minute of the clip:

“Fat ass.”

“Oh my God, you’re so fat.”

“You take up like the whole entire seat.”

“Put those glasses back on. I can’t stand looking at your face.”

When the woman tells the kids that she is crying (presumably as a result of their attacks) they refuse to relent. In fact, one kid can be heard saying that she’s shedding tears because “she probably misses her box of Twinkies.” Here’s more:

“You have refluxes of an elephant,” another child can be heard saying.

“She‘s going to pick out which kid she’s going to rape next,” another quipped.

“She’s going to die of diabetes, because she’s so damn fat,” said another.

At moments, the youths even poked and attempted to touch the woman, as she sat, for the most part quietly, and allowed their abuse to continue.

“If I stabbed you in the stomach, my knife would go through you like butter because it’s all f**king water,” another kid said.

Among the comment that hurt the most, Klein told WHAM-TV that one child’s statement that she is so ugly that her “kids should kill themselves” was particularly hurtful. Her son committed suicide 10 years ago.

The predominently white middle class school teachers really pour it on when they are on a self righteous health or hate mission and incorporate lessons into every subject.

Right they would never learn this from their parents, that would never happen. /SARC

They encourage the children to nag and harass their parents about fat issues they learn in school which gives them the permission to actually disrespect adults if they are not thin or if they don’t serve food as directed. I think this is the product of Moochelle’s latest nanny state brain washing mission.

The first teachers are the parents, if the parents tolerate this, then this is the end result.

It’s no excuse for these kids acting like feral animals, but it is important to see the connection because liberals are into brain washing children to ‘bring change’ these days.

I saw my cousins get away with all sorts of rude behavior to their parents. My sisters and I never considered it because we knew that the consequences would be swift, sure, and public.

Like Thomas Sowell sometimes does, I have some random thoughts:

The difference is that he knows what he is talking about and his are worth reading.

Huh.

Well, two things then. I left a 5% chance they weren’t black, but much more importantly, since they aren’t black there is a much greater chance that justice will be dispensed.

Whites are held to a much higher standard than blacks, and that’s because, at their core, Liberals think blacks are nothing more than animals.

"we do not tolerate harrassment of staff or students"
It's apparent from the circumstances in the viral video, there has been ample tolerance to some degree . . .otherwise, why the need for a 'bus monitor' in the first place?

I’ve known some pretty nasty middle income level kids with fowl mouths along with upper and lower income level kids also. I do not think you can judge the kids these days strickly going by what income level backgrounds!

Placing a senior citizen as "bus monitor" on this bus indicates this student population has a history of abusive nonconformist behavior requiring adult supervision.

Limiting any recourse this 'bus monitor' is permitted to enforce (to avoid any appearance of child abuse) leads to predictable consequences when dealing with a population hell bent on pushing boundaries. Think UN peacekeepers . . .target practice.

I had a kid at my house one time and he insulted me - twice. I put his nasty butt in the car and drove him directly home. Wow. What a nasty piece of work that kid was. He was one shocked kid when I escorted him to the door and told his mom why he was home so early.

So, are you saying that because she is obviously incompetent in doing her “job”, she is to be considered a “victim”?

Step away from whatever pipe you are smoking.

The “victims” here are the children on the bus, being taught by an ineffectual adult that rules and laws don't matter at all.

Did you see any indication at all of the woman making even a cursory attempt to controll or stop the egregious behavior of those kids attacking her?

Did it ever even cross your mind that if she wont even defend herself, chances are high she did not ever once defend any of the other children on that bus?

She was paid to be on that bus as “monitor”.

Let's all gather together to celebrate her incompetence!

ANOTHER REASON TO HOMESCHOOL

This ping list is for the “other” articles of interest to homeschoolers about education and public school. This can occasionally be a fairly high volume list. Articles pinged to the Another Reason to Homeschool List will be given the keyword of ARTH. (If I remember. If I forget, please feel free to add it yourself)

The main Homeschool Ping List handles the homeschool-specific articles. I hold both the Homeschool Ping List and the Another Reason to Homeschool Ping list. Please freepmail me to let me know if you would like to be added to or removed from either list, or both.

"But, I can say with certainty that this would never have happened in the America where I grew up."

Yes, having been born in 1936, I grew up in a different America too. If you got it busted at school you'd pray to God that Mom and Dad didn't find out because you'd get it busted again for embarrassing the family.

Thats right. Stand up and support and defend those sweet, little, innocent angels that did this to that woman. She asked for it, right? She deserved it, right? You sound like Madcow Maddow.

Let's all gather together to celebrate her incompetence!

You are making a good point that I missed. Either the monitor is incompetent or the school system that she works for is not supporting her and, maybe, even actively undermining her.

Did you see any indication at all of the woman making even a cursory attempt to control or stop the egregious behavior of those kids attacking her?

How much back-up support do you think she was getting, and would get, from the school administrators? The article is silent about this?

Twenty years ago when our family lived in Maryland, the local Baptist school had a school bus to pick up its children. It was driven by a teacher wearing a white shirt and tie. The kids looked very mannerly dressed in uniforms. I bet behavior like this was never seen on their buses. Why? Two reasons:

1) they would have been expelled from the school,

2) Their parents ( being in association with other God-fearing Christian parents would have learned how to dish out consequences in the home.

The behavior in this private school was likely better because the private school could, and would dish out consequences, and the parents ( being in close association through church and school to the wisdom of more experienced Christian parents also know how to dish out consequences. The church through its Sunday and Wednesday night programs was fully able to spoon out heaping masses of very good, but politically incorrect, parenting advice that a government school teacher or administrator could never do.

In other words, the school, church, and home philosophies on child rearing were closely and seamlessly coordinated, leaving little confusion in the mind of the child.

Our closest government elementary school has **four** first grades. The parents don't even know each other because they come from distant parts of the county. Add to the mix the non-stop godless indoctrination, the ineffectual discipline philosophy of the government school, high school property taxes forcing both parents to work, the godless K-12 education of the parents and grandparents ( if grandparent live close by), .....and in one or two generations we will see the same pathology here in our quiet rural town.

We live in an area that is literally the cultural End of the Road. There is no where else to go in these United States.,,, and, our illegitimacy rate and divorce rate is just has high as anywhere else in white America. Godless, Marxist-dominated, and, now, homosexual infiltrated government K-12 education was a **major** contributor to the decline.

May God save our nation. While my husband work tireless within our church to help the youth of our congregation, it like fighting a forest fire with a water pistol.

You were taught by people of my father's generationm born in 1913. He grew up in a household with his grandparents. His grandfather served in the Civil War.

Well...Socialist-entitlement Obamacare won't be that bad at first because of the values of the people trained in the old system. It will take a generation or two for the true horror of Obamacare to manifest itself. Then, ...the **same** arguments uses to reform socialist-entitlement government schooling will be trotted out for socialist medicine.

Fundamentally,...government schooling is SOCIALIST-entitlement and single-payer education! If it seemed to function fairly well in your generation it is because your teachers ( of my father's generation) were still close enough to the values of those pioneers who broke the land and arrived penniless to our shores in a time when there was no welfare.

( I am late. Not proof read.)

Interesting veiled insult from someone that has never taught in a public school or set foot in my classroom. further supporting my contention that you don't what is going on.

It should also be noted that on numerous occasions I have offered you every opportunity to demonstrate your prowess with either coming to my class or giving a list of students to demonstrate your ability on, and every time you have declined, ignored, or ran away.

are these the "ethical" standards you taught in your home screwling (Intentional misspelling to demonstrate contempt)

My sisters and I were born in the early 60's and were taught the same thing by our PARENTS. Sadly "One note Janey" doesn't realize that this is the responsibility of the the parents to teach proper behavior.

[Elisha] went up from there to Bethel, and while he was going up on the way, some small boys came out of the city and jeered at him, saying, “Go up, you baldhead! Go up, you baldhead!” And he turned around, and when he saw them, he cursed them in the name of the LORD. And two she-bears came out of the woods and tore forty-two of the boys.
