Rarely will I post something for you that I haven’t watched myself, but I’ll cop straight up to not having watched this one. I can’t take it; the descriptions are bad enough. The cruelty’s so gratuitous and the target so sympathetic that it’s a bit like reading a story about someone torturing a small animal. A taste from the Blaze:

Social darwinism in action. Those idiot kids saw a woman who was weak and they preyed on her in the way they could. If she had been walking down the street alone these same kids would have assaulted her because they have no core belief or respect for anything or anyone. If that had been a 35 year old 6’6” wrestler they would never have said or done what they did. They are essentially cowards. They will grow up to be adult predators unless someone, a large man, hopefully a father, grabs them by the nap of the neck and get their attention the only way they will understand. They will understand force. They are not compelled by any sense of respect for the elderly. They are not compelled by a right upbringing. They will understand force. Unless they do they will become wards of the state in some penal institution or killed by one of their victims.

Yes! And I hope it keeps climbing! It makes me sick that some of our elderly have to put up with such garbage in order to eat and pay bills. Tolerence ends when debasement begins. Punish those little monsters!

Actually, the most evil of the voices was a girl’s voice. She may have been the one filming the attack. (This is the kind of girl a guy would want to take home to mom — NOT!)
I’v seen snippits about/from the parents, but they’re equally at fault and should be out there taking the heat, too. First, it would never have entered my mind to do such a thing. But if I had... I’d be pushing up daisies in the back yard. One thing we had to do growing up was spend some Saturdays and some Sunday afternoons in the Buffalo, NY, rescue missions helping the down-and-out; it gives you a different perspective. Maybe the kids’ “sentence” should be something like that if they have the capacity for empathy. Sociopaths are missing that “gene”, though, so I doubt it would do any good.
I’ve heard the fund to help Karen is now over $300,000, and it’ll probably increase. Interesting that the little criminals taunted her about being poor. Soon her net worth will exceed the kids’ parents’ savings, I expect. Maybe some karma-type stuff happening there.
The latest headline indicates the fund is near $500K and she also got a free trip to Disneyworld for herself and several guests! THis has really turned out well for her.
BUt I get a BIG LUMP in my throat when I see her pic and think of my own grandmothers, both now deceased. I cannot IMAGINE MY ANGER if I found out some little hoodlums had ever spoken to her in that manner!
That video brought out a visceral reaction to those of us who had been blessed with wonderful and loving grandmas. Although it is not very Christian of me to think this way, I hope the threats and taunts on these little hoodlums continue. They need to feel REAL FEAR for awhile. THey need to be expelled and a good azz-whoopin.
You are right that it sounded like a girl’s voice. Could have been a “sissy” boy though. But either way, the words were terrible!
I read that one of the kids is the child of a POLICE OFFICER! The parents of these kids need a good tongue lashing. I just CANNOT IMAGINE myself as a kid doing something like this! I was taught to respect one’s elders. You sure as HELL didn’t talk ugly to adults and ESPECIALLY elderly people.
OMG, my mom! I imagine she would have had me doing something NICE for folks at our local nursing home EVERY SATURDAY until I was 50!
Last, it would not surprise me if somehow these hoodlums think they are entitled to a share of the fund that has been established. Or, they are probably evil enough to continue harrassing this woman and demanding she share the money with them. You can be sure they are not one bit remorseful. They are only “apologizing” due to the HUGE backlash and threats.
Sometimes I just frigging HATE people and wish them bad karma. This is one of those times.
