Video: Bus bullies apologize to victim
http://hotair.com/archives/2012/06/22/video-bus-bullies-apologize-to-victim/ ^

My friend Amy Alkon is less than impressed, as the title of her post indicates — “Little S**ts Say They’re Sorry to Bullied Bus Monitor.” It also seems a little less than sincere when the written statements transmitted to Karen Klein by the police — rather than a face-to-face apology, at least at the moment — coincide with their own complaints about suddenly becoming victims of bullying and threats themselves. The police are investigating those threats, as they should be, but it does call into question whether the apologies come from actual remorse or a sense of self-preservation. The whole Lord of the Flies vibe makes me think it’s the latter, but I certainly hope that it’s the former.

Lying sacks of crap. Just a "we were forced to apologize" apology.

I was just watching my local news, and they showed an ABC clip of a bully’s father. He said, and I quote, “I mean, he’s just a 13 year old kid, and he made a mistake.”

How about: he’s a freaking SAVAGE without a moral in him because YOU abdicated your parental duty and made excuses for the little monster every time he deserved punishment?

Kids learn bullying first from family, then it is reinforced by society. Kids are blank pages; bullying doesn't come from nowhere.

Exactly. The father is just shrugging off the future problems by not being a responsible parent and just saying the “Oh well- Boys will be boys” line.

Their behavior remind me of the torment I went through in school. Just a bunch of little pr*cks that think they are the living s*it.

And what type of culture do we have where these bastards felt OK taping this abuse and actually uploading it to YouTube? What the hell do they think that site is, someplace to store evidence of your subhuman antics? That no one would ever see it? That people would be impressed?

If I was that kids dad, he would be that poor women’s SLAVE right now. His summer vacation until he starts high school would officially NOT EXIST and he wont know what technology was because I would strip him of everything that was not related to turning on the lights in his room.

Exactly. A “mistake” would be getting mad at the lady and calling her a name. Deliberate bullying to the point of her crying indicates a budding sociopath. The father should be extremely worried.

I don’t know, kids can be pretty awful all on there own. These kids should by duly punished and I’m happy for the nice old lady getting all the money. Still, I bet so many of the people saying these kids should be tarred and feathered had some terrible moments of there own at that age and maybe aren’t so nice as adults either.

I was always excluded in my public school, from the third grade through high school graduation. In the sixth grade, at one point, the teacher had enough and chewed out our class. She ripped them up one side and down the other. The kids in school realized the truth of what she said and then all of a sudden I was the most popular person in class.

It lasted about a week.

It has been 40 years since high school graduation. My class recently had a reunion. I declined the invitation.

I have read accounts of parents saying “he made a mistake” when they were talking about their kids who had killed people.

However, this very phrase shows me that we’re talking about a well-educated liberal parent who has created a monster because he, the father, has no values and that has never tried to inculcate any in his children.

If any of my kids had done something like that, they’d be doing so much house and groundskeeping work for this lady that they wouldn’t have time to breathe. But the thing is that they would never have done this thing in the first place, because that’s not what they were brought up to do.

My son (a very big guy) went to junior high school in a very prosperous part of N. California, and dumped a brat upside down in the trashcan on the school playground for ridiculing a poorer, more vulnerable black kid for his color.

I think most well-brought up young men would know that anybody who attacked a vulnerable person should be dumped upside down in a trashcan.

Not quite that bad, but close. Wouldn’t attend my high school reunion if they paid me $$$$.

Lord of the Flies is apt. Crowd mentality, immature and no supervision. Punk kids... until the videos of what they did showed up.

Notwithstanding any apology, actions have consequences. These kids should not be taken out of school - kids need education.

They should be removed from this school though and put into an alternative school - you know, the ones w/ the 12 yr old car thieves, middle school dope peddlers, etc.

One of the big problems in public schools is that actions do not seem to have consequences - hence the deteriorating behavior.

Children learn by rewards and consequences. That’s it. No reward? No learning. No consequence? No learning. It’s hogwash to think you can reason like an adult with a child.

Kick ‘em out and put them in a school with the other delinquents.

“someplace to store evidence of your subhuman antics? “

A LOT of Youtube users believe EXACTLY that, it is a complete sewer filled with every Nazi, Communist, anarchist, gang-banger, atheist and moral degenerate psychopath/sociopath you can think of.

(With an occasional cute cat video;)

"he (they) made a mistake."

Did "they" ever make a mistake. And all they will learn from their mistake is to be a little more sneaky the next time.

Have to disagree with that a little. Cruelty is in our DNA. They don’t have to learn to be cruel from anyone else. I think children are even more susceptible to giving in to cruelty because they haven’t had as much time to learn the difference between right and wrong as adults have.

If I was this woman, I would watch myself around these kids, because they might try to get some revenge.

These children lack a soul ,, they are hollow vessels and most likely do not believe in God . I don’t believe they are truely sorry ,,, just sorry they were caught . I would like to see them face at least two weeks of suspension from school and also two weeks of bus suspension .
