U.S. Geological Survey scientists call the 600-mile swath a "hot spot" for climbing sea levels caused by global warming. Along the region, the Atlantic Ocean is rising at an annual rate three times to four times faster than the global average since 1990, according to the study published Sunday in the journal Nature Climate Change. Any study showing sea level rising faster in some areas than others proves it is not the sea level rising, but land sinking.

Ummm....I have noticed that the east side of my swimming pool is about an 1/8 inch higher than the west side. I wonder what on earth could be going on?!? At this rate, water will be spilling out of my pool in 10 years!

The water level in the creek behind my house is down.
I’m predicting it’ll be up next March and down again next July.

I’m all for the rising water if it will wash the stench away from the likes of New York City, New Jersey, Taxachesetts, and most other northeastern states.

The environment is suffering damage that could be irreversible global warming, the greenhouse effect, the melting of the polar ice caps, the rising sea level, hurricanes with terrible social occurrences that will shake life on this planet."
"I believe this idea has a strong connection with reality. I don't think we have much time. Fidel Castro said in one of his speeches I read not so long ago, 'tomorrow could be too late, let's do now what we need to do'."
"I believe it is time that we take up with courage and clarity a political, social, collective and ideological offensive across the world a real offensive that permits us to move progressively, over the next years, the next decades, leaving behind the perverse, destructive, destroyer, capitalist model and go forward in constructing the socialist model to avoid barbarism and beyond that the annihilation of life on this planet."

The land level is dropping. The last continental ice sheet depressed the Earth’s crust in the NY- New England area. It caused it to bulge out around the Carolinas. Isostatic compensation is occurring and the USGS appears to be to dumb to know what is happening.
