That's the official position of the BSA right now, "has no plans to change...".
How long do you think that will last given the very public statements from its National Executive Board members?

"We are at a tipping point, with national leaders within the Boy Scouts now taking a firm stand to help end discrimination," Tyrrell said in response to Turley's statement. She called on another prominent Boy Scout executive board member, AT&T CEO Randall Stephenson, to join Turley in speaking out against the Scouts' anti-gay policy. Like Ernst & Young, AT&T has been commended by gay-rights groups for gay-friendly employment policies "The last thing AT&T wants is to undermine its excellent reputation for supporting LGBT people by failing to support a resolution that would bring equality to the Boy Scouts," Tyrrell said. AT&T issued a statement on Stephenson's behalf, indicating that he too might be interested in working internally to reconsider the membership policy.

First it was one Exec Board member, now two... I would prefer something a little stronger than "has no plans to". In fact, I would prefer to see Executive Board members who actually share the real values of the BSA, and those that don't shown the door or voted out. The homosexuals now have the wedge they need. Incrementalism...

Why is it that nobody discusses the issue from a "straight" perspective, like "Why can't a straight version of Dustin be a troop leader for a bunch of 15 year old Girl Scouts?", or "Why couldn't Farrah Fawcett lead my overnight hikes?"
